Metaversal Fireweek Forecasts

Fireweek/The Capricorn Lunar Cycle 2016

The seed/ideas we have from the New Moon to the First Quarter Moon come from the kabbalistic world of Atziluth (Fire) and are the blueprints/seeds for everything that exists, has existed, and will ever exist in the physical world of Assiah (Earth), as an embodiment of the archetypal idealized apple (or a least the Core).. Fireweek is the time to remember we're in the pilots seat of our own personal Lightcraft and make some course corrections if we've veered off course…Pythagoras founded a philosophical and religious school in Croton and was the head of the society with an inner circle of followers known as mathematikoi. The mathematikoi lived permanently with the Society, had no personal possessions and were vegetarians. They were taught by Pythagoras himself and obeyed strict Aquarian rules. The beliefs that Pythagoras held were
(1) that at its deepest level, reality is mathematical in nature,
(2) that philosophy can be used for spiritual purification,
(3) that the soul can rise to union with the divine,
(4) that certain symbols have a mystical significance, and
(5) that all brothers and sisters of the order should observe strict loyalty and secrecy. Pythagoras noticed that vibrating strings produce harmonious tones when the ratios of the lengths of the strings are whole numbers, and that these ratios could be extended to other instruments. In fact Pythagoras made remarkable contributions to the mathematical theory of music. He was a master musician, playing the lyre, and he used music as a means to help those who were ill. Well you can turn me to salt, dye me blue, and let the cows lick me into the homunculus of remorse, whence I will go about the countryside ejaculating Pythagoras' name through kitchen windows. And the people will say, 'Look out, it's him again.' And, typically, there will be those among them who will say, 'Let's kick him to death.' And still others will countermand them, saying, 'No - let's just maim him and send him on his way.' Citizens and townsfolk, can you not see the sign around my neck? LOCK UP YOUR DOUBTERS: SHE IS RISEN, LIKE THE WOBBLY ROD OF MAN AS IT DOWSETH THE FLUIDIFEROUS CHALICE OF THE EMPERESS!

Wednesday, December 28
The Day of Mercury in the week of Fire. Mercury's function in Yetzirah is to actively communicate. To think. To know. To reason. Mercury teaches (by demonstration), the animation of Eidolons, the magick indwelling of icons by Spirit. Avoid any doctrine or religious movement that advocates a shameful wickedness with the alphabet Pay attention to last night’s dreams. This morning can be constructive, productive and even entrepreneurial after Moon enters Capricorn at 7:12 am (10:12 ET). The numerology of today’s number, 1, resonates with the force of Sun, who joins with mental Mercury as he sextiles dynamic Mars, for a feast of confidence and mental energy. Use it to clarify your intent for the late-night New Moon, and design a plan of action and communication to support that intent.
Remember that Mercury is retrograde; time to retrieve an intention or project seeded before December 2. It’s only natural to review and reevaluate our most significant successes and failures as we approach the new year. We are serious about setting reasonable goals now that the Sun, Mercury and Pluto are camped out in ambitious Capricorn. The Moon enters Capricorn at 10:11 am EST, reminding us to get down to business. Retrograde Mercury’s connections with the Sun and Mars motivate us to reconsider our current path before making any resolutionsAt 10:53 pm (1:53 am ET), Moon is born anew. Uranus is stationing to turn direct, so this portal will galvanize our freedom impulse. As the first New Moon after Solstice, it indicates that this impulse will be flavor the entire year ahead. The Sabian symbol for 8 Capricorn says: A HEAVILY VEILED HEIROPHANT LEADS A RITUAL OF POWER. Gathering together the power of the group to one purpose and into an individual will. “Avatar-ship”. Responsibility. The layers of this symbol can range from hidden manipulation of the masses, to a unified collective mobilization. On a personal level, we are invited to strengthen the avatar within and assume the responsibility of congruence with our principles and mission. The theme of power reasserts itself as this lunation makes a wide conjunction to Pluto. Between the Uranus station—still
in orb of the trine from Saturn—and this lunation, we are up for a time of major change. 2017 is not looking like a year for sis

Thursday, December 29
The New Moon themes of change, power and structure linger, as Uranus turns direct and Moon joins with Pluto, Mr. Intense.
The numerology of today’s 11 invites us to lift our personal and collective vibration by radiating love. Make a space for
prayer or meditation and call on the light beings to help with this transmutation.
Capricorn Moon also facilitates results in business and practical affairs.

Friday, December 30
If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. Venus, who gets oversimplified like a lot of her sisters, is one of the most complex planets going: she works as an attractive force and as a creative one. wellThe 5 roses represent the five senses in the Empress card (Atu 3) And in the Lovers card (Atu 6 ) the senses are the five fruits of Eve. Venus is indeed in cahoots with the senses. All movement of all living creatures in world of Assiah are tied to the senses and the desire-nature. The accomplished Lightpilot can remove the robe of desire in order to withdraw into the worlds of Briah and Atzitluth, but in order to achieve anything in the physical realms you keep that robe on. When you act, your gonna act in terms of desire. Venus represents that which is desirable. Every living thing seeks pleasure and tries to avoid pain. Victory lies in understanding our desire nature and learning how to use it. Save work, shopping and practical concerns for this afternoon or evening, as Moon goes VOC in Capricorn before dawn. Sun sextiles Neptune, great for working on a dream board or working or generating some kind of visualization of New Moon/New Year’s intentions. At 5:29 pm (8:29 ET), Moon enters Aquarius, and the festive spirit surges. This is a great time to connect with friends and plan your party to avoid mixing drinking and driving.

Saturday, December 31
The Day of Saturn in the kabbalistic World of Fire. Wearing Black and facing North, invoke the spirit of Johnny Cash into your Base Chakra (The Malkuth "Lil' World" Morphogenetic Field Transceiver) with the mantrum. "Because your mine, I walk the line".With it being Airweek, honor Saturn today by creating greater stability in the Metaverse, actively expressing or experiencing your security needs, and cleansing and strengthening your base Chakra. Our consciousness in this chakra is concerned with survival, with our fight or flight response, with our instincts. It links the individual with the physical world. Serves as the foundation to evolve and build personality. If we are to ignore this chakra, and concern ourselves with the higher levels, we will be growing without roots, we will be unstable, unable to withstand the trials that will come our way. If our survival needs are met, the Base Chakra will function healthily, but if there is a perceived threat to this, (such as a difficult house move, job change, health problems, etc.) it can create an imbalance. Other Saturnian imbalances can show themselves in various ways, from sleeplessness and the inability to relax, to obsession with money, possessions or health. Romping Mars joins dreamy Neptune, a potentially steamy combination that could favor a hot encounter at a sauna or Turkish bath, but also warns us to go light on liquor and avoid mixing drinking with driving, with operating machinery or for that matter with potentially boisterous attitudes and settings. This combination can be well directed in taking some heroic action for a cause or person, like helping the homeless or volunteering to wash the dishes at a soup kitchen. However you choose to celebrate, low-key and sober is probably safer. I hope this isn't an ackward time to mention that the structural basis for all Light-specific work in the Metaverse is regular, disciplined connection to the No-Form, meditation, contemplation, what ever you want to call it, as long as it's deep. Supremely solitary in that heath of scrub. The Light-Specific state initiates itself with SOLITUDE, the gratifying element of being alone (if only for 20 minutes a day)... without which, true development is impossible. The point is to connect to your inner source of stability, the state of potentia, the No-Form, at least once a day. No-Form is not a goal or state of "spiritual arrival" (as some religions would have us believe), it is a highly practical, multi-purpose tool for dissolving our identification with the ego. If you want to play with us, this is the only rule. The foundation of our Lightcraft is built in Chaos, so you must maintain a firm foundation, or Chaos your life will be. Some of us need this connection four times a day (sunrise, true noon, sunset, true midnight). Some of us actually manage to do it four times a day. It is a choice you must make. I would do it for you if I could. Once a day is all that's required to maintain the Continuity function. Future generations of yourself will be glad this came to pass. The Lightcraft Academy , Yoga Ceremonial Magick, this astrology forecast, they all provide ritual technology for Self initiation. But the key word here is Self. D.I.Y

The Extended Mind - Mind Beyond the Brain (Sheldrake Series #3)

Metaversal Solstice Week Forecasts December 22nd to December 26th

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21
Merry Solstice and Happy Solar New Year! Sun enters Capricorn before at 2:44 am (5:44 ET),
beginning its slow climb from the south to the high point in the sky. Ancient traditions honored the return of the
Solar Warrior, the heroic spark in all creation that applies itself to growing in the light. Moon in Libra facilitates
pleasant connections, beautiful surroundings and rituals involving flowers. But tense contacts to Neptune and Mercury
indicate that intuition and music will be more fulfilling that verbal communication. Saturn is getting moving to trine
Uranus. This aspect will be exact to the minute on December 24, but is now in the same degree, indicating that the
New Year is a great door for positive change. This joining of tradition with innovation presages a change in the
Electoral College, along with other legislation that requires renewal. Uranus can get fanatical, and Mr. Trump may try to
alter Constitutional guarantees or the Social Security system. However, Mars entered Aquarius on Election Day, setting
in motion a popular movement (as we predicted at time), and this aspect suggests that those who persist can open doors
of freedom. This is true in our personal lives as well.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 22
Everyone laughed when I sent my dog Zola to the Canine Academy Of Design, but they won't be laughing today when she
continues to shit all over their lawn. The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Earth, Assiah. If you don't have a good laugh today, you are missing the point. There is a whole division of the Angelic Hierarchy assigned to the sephiroth Chesed (Jupiter) whose purpose is divine inspiration through laughter. And there is no vision more critical in the career of the adept than the Metaversal Joke.
Did you here the one about the astrologer who broke his arm and attributed it to an accident?Morning is great for a warm or even romantic Solstice brunch, a blanket drive, or for that matter any meaningful gathering, as Moon in sociable Libra harmonizes with sweet Venus and orderly Saturn and conjuncts Jupiter, the prosperous promoter. Libra represents the period from 23 to 42 years old, when partnerships are made and balance is sought between others and oneself. On the World scale Libra is between 400and 1100 AD, when division of the church and state took over, and the Dark Ages swept over Europe and Asia. The opposition is symbolic of the fact that in order to emerge from the unconscious, internal conflicts must be brought out into the light of day. Marriage was the primary process through which opposing countries where integrated into a whole. With the Moon in Libra we are aware of our communal relations, law, justice and balance. The 7th house (Libra) has been called the house of marriage. The key to the New Aeon of MA'AT is figuring out the new symbol for Libra, as the institution of marriage was originally designed as a tool by the Church to secure it's future domination. Those that cannot find this new symbol and perform these symbolic rites on themselves and their tribe, and the whole fabric of material being, will inherit only the blues, decay, and husks. Think more in terms of partnership and remember, your heart must be light as a feather. Take this time to be good to your Libra ruled kidneys. These amazing organs filter some 400-500 hundred gallons of blood a day. Lemons, beets, cranberry juice and cabbage and leafy vegetables are all healing to your kidneys. In fact, this window is better for partying and spontaneous communication than yesterday afternoon or most of Christmas Day, so we may want to focus some of our holiday socializing now.The flow may freeze over at 11:31 am (2:31 pm ET), when Moon goes VOC on an opposition to independent Uranus.
Take some time for yourself this afternoon. If you must work, try soloing it, as feelings are apt to be touchy.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23

Moon in Scorpio brings out our spiritual warrior nature, and our faculties, both rational and intuitive, are empowered. Scorpio represents the period from 42 years old to Death, when ones sense of Time compacts and passes rapidly. Since this stage is the last in the life of the human biological machine, it's now time to transcend the confines of the mortal body and to assure continued existence, either you breed (pass on your DNA) or step out of the loop (become your DNA). On the World scale, Scorpio is between AD 1100 and AD 1500, when the Dark Ages reached their peak. This is the Time of the Crusades and the Inquisition, when Pain, Bloodshed and Oppression swept over Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, after the uneasy alliances made during Libra. This is the sign of the Shadow. Successfully navigated, one can experience healthy, flowing spontaneous sexuality, an acceptance of Death and an integration of i ts reality into daily life, thus gaining a sense of the immortality of consciousness. On a more platonic note, this influence favors a deeply loving encounter and prayers, metta or meditation of forgiveness or planetary healing. Moon in Scorpio makes for passionate undercurrents as it harmonizes with Sun in practical Capricorn and energetic Mars
in psychic Pisces. Act on a hunch to seek out an estranged relative or that elusive perfect gift, to reconnect with an
old flame, excite the one you have, or even do some attractive business.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24
Moon in Scorpio brings a touch of Samhain to this Winter holiday, and provides a somewhat retentive yet deep backdrop for the magical trine from Saturn, planet of building, to revolutionary Uranus. Our accumulated efforts can open doors. Although most of us won’t be focused on our long-term goals today, a pause can be a good idea at busy and emotional times like these. Make one for yourself, and while you enjoy it, pay attention to your feelings and consult an oracle, your spirit guides, or your own inner voice that shows you just how you can adapt your current train of effort to facilitate a breakthrough and build a new, and—with Uranus in Aries—more authentic life. Some support may even come today, and if it doesn’t, we’ll have prepared the mental space that precipitates results. In fact, with Mercury the messenger in sextile to intense Pluto, mindful words can have a powerful effect. Try to use them for healing, and avoid getting snappy or sarcastic.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 25

Moon goes VOC in Scorpio, and hopefully we’ve already got our Christmas shopping and tasks covered.
Fortunately, loving Venus harmonizes with several planets: enthusiastic Jupiter, liberating Uranus and
constructive Saturn. These contacts promote good will, fun and positive collaboration, and help balance the
potentially brooding and reclusive atmosphere of Moon in the sign of dark. Morning energy is particularly bright,
as is tonight after 7:19 pm (10:19 ET), when Moon enters Sagittarius.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 26
Have a slice of yesterday’s leftover harmony pie, as today’s Moon in Sagittarius squares feisty Mars and
slippery Neptune. More notably, Moon’s ruler, Jupiter, opposes Uranus. Hopefully, you don’t have to work today,
and can some time to yourself to clarify your beliefs. Are they freeing or limiting? What beliefs have you inherited or
absorbed that could be up for revision? Offbeat spiritual activities go nicely with this aspect. Shy away from situations
or interactions you find confining, and avoid arguments, particularly about spiritual issues. One good way to channel
this aspect is by enjoying an art film, good book and most of all: music. Channel an evening sextile between mental
Mercury and absorbent Neptune by listening with empathy to someone who’s having a challenging holiday, consulting an
oracle or the angels, messaging to support Standing Rock, promoting your image or using positive affirmations.

Metaversal Airweek Forecasts for December 13th to December 19th

This forecast is prepared and written in luminous tiles across your retinas. May it shine forth upon all who meet your gaze. Words grow here slick and filthy and unhindered by enterprise.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 13

A morning trine from Moon to Jupiter makes it worth our time to use the last moments of the waxing cycle. Particularly favored are initiatives related to promotion, sales, communication or relationships. An afternoon sextile from Moon to Uranus helps open doors. Prepare your mind and presentation and knock on them before Luna becomes full at 4:06 pm (7:06 ET). This will be the last Full Moon of the year, known as the Hunting, Cold or Oak Moon. The Sabian symbol for this lunation describes: THREE FLEDGLINGS LOOK OUT PROUDLY FROM THEIR HIGH NEST. Conscious self-establishment in the soul and its three-fold nature. Innate self-confidence. Superiority of real being.
This image would seem to presage the birth of goddess forces, particularly coming as it does on the footsteps of Guadalupe’s Day, with its purifying gifts.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14
Moon enters Cancer at 4:09 am (7:09 ET), contacting Venus and Neptune and promoting empathy and tender connections. Love is in the air today, but discerning real needs from superficial desires is tricky. The Moon swims into watery Cancer at 7:08 am EST, reminding us that nurturing those close to us can take a relationship even deeper than a romantic connection. Nevertheless, sensual Venus is also in the picture,
prompting us to express the lighter side of amour. Sparks fly from an electric Venus-Uranus connection, but the attraction might be a passing fancy. The dynamic numerology of today’s number, 8, brings out the creative potential of these influences.
Find ways to nurture Full Moon intentions, family ties or a altruistic endeavor.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15
The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Air, Yetzirah. Did you here the one about the astrologer who broke his arm and attributed it to an accident? At 4:44 in the morning: you won't see a cop or a raccoon; you can pee in full phantasmagoria under the stars in the night with the wind high and salty and the dome of the sky in full splay sprayed and contusioned upon the black upon the twisted wicked love of the cypress in decline. Someday I'd like to stop three feet from the top of Everest. "Fuck it, I'm not going a single inch further." I'd say and turn around. This morning, we should avoid the temptation to binge or sermonize, as Moon in Cancer, sign of emotions and stomachs, squares Jupiter, planet of excess. Less than an hour later, Moon contacts Saturn; pass up the guilt pie. At 1:37 pm (4:37 ET), Moon goes VOC on a square to Uranus. In Cancer, Moon still performs, and with this aspect favors an afternoon and evening of independent study or work for business, creativity or altruism.

FRIDAY DECEMBER 16
If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. When you act, your gonna act in terms of desire. Venus represents that which is desirable. Every living thing seeks pleasure and tries to avoid pain. Victory lies in understanding our desire nature and learning how to use itMoon in Leo fuses with the socially dexterous, Venusian energies of Friday and the mental vibration of today’s number 7. Moon in Leo sets the light-specific stage, which indeed all the world is. The angel of dread has wrestled with the Lightpilot and brought her to her knees, and then - the lifting up into the light;, until the Lion's Mouth is opened by gentle hands, until the secret of the Sphinx revealed, and then - the revelation of the Metaversal Harmony. Of course I'm talking 'bout the archetype of Leo - the King: long live the, kill the,...etc. The Lion-serpent sun sign, the power of Will, the quest for authenticity. With the Moon in Leo today we may be seeking romance with a flare for the dramatic. Today is propitious for generating persuasive ideas, presenting a case, attending (or delivering) a theater or dance production and enjoying good company and conversation.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17

The Day of Saturn in the kabbalistic World of Air. Other Saturnian imbalances can show themselves in various ways, from sleeplessness and the inability to relax, to obsession with money, possessions or health. Take some time for yourself this morning, when dramatic Leo Moon makes tense contacts that will be easier to take in the cool blue of solitude rather than in the shiny red of holiday rush. Our power resurges this afternoon, as Moon makes a series of harmonies: to optimistic Jupiter, constructive Saturn and liberating Uranus. We can rebuild our world in shades of prosperous green. This evening, Moon makes a tense contact to Chiron. Retreat once more and journal, meditate or otherwise work on healing. . I hope this isn't an ackward time to mention that the structural basis for all Light-specific work in the Metaverse is regular, disciplined connection to the No-Form, meditation, contemplation, what ever you want to call it, as long as it's deep. Supremely solitary in that heath of scrub. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 18

The Metaversal Lightpilot, which the ancient Egyptians referred to as the KA, is actually the fourth dimensional driver of the third dimensional Lightcraft, the BA. There is a sixth dimensional solar mind which interacts with all levels and is purely an electromagnetick harmonic, a harmony based on all the other levels coming together around a center. And the sun is the center eternally now and therefore timeless. The Sun never sets on itself. The evolution of the Metaversal song, what some refer to as the Great Work, has as its core the purpose of resonating this harmonic through your individual interactive Lightcraft. Sunday’s for December are big Metaversal days.Johannes Ayres teaches his Western Tantra class at the beautiful Lake Merrit Lodge in Oakland Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. (in the Ballroom). This allows practioners to attend the Ecxstatic Dance Workshop (also every Sunday morning) down the street at historic Sweet’s Ballroom. If you feel on top of it this morning, work on your art or craft or enjoy a run or brisk walk in the sunrise. Moon in regal Leo gets extra shine from a trine with Sun, before opposing Mars (avoid road speed or other risks), and going VOC at 8:55 am (11:55 ET).At 9:52 am (12:52 ET), Moon enters Virgo. We can almost hear her telling us: it’s time to get on track with a health regime, declutter, and organize the upcoming week.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
Projecting Light Specific purple or octarine (a particular shade of electric pinkish purple) into your forehead and facing West, activate the Ajna Holographic Image Projection System (third eye), then invoke blessed Gabriel. Diana, or Sailor Moon into your Brow Chakra. It's the Moon's day in the week of active Air and the body in motion. The lunar orb being receptive and reflective, focuses the qualities of the signs and other planets to our personal Lightcraft. The Lunar center, and its intimate connection with the Holographic Image Projection System, is not only the foundation for the astral plane, but is the fiery aspect of astral energy itself. It cannot be weaned prematurely or circumcised without sedation lest it become traumatized and even more crestfallen. As Solstice approaches, our energies turn inward. Assertive Mars enters the soft and misty realm of Pisces, while Moon in Virgo opposes Neptune and trines Pluto, planets of all things hidden, and Mercury makes full submersion into retrograde. In contrast to all this subtlety, the Sabian symbol for Mercury’s retrograde station evokes vital force. At 16 Capricorn, it says:
SCHOOLGROUND FILLED WITH YOUTH IN GyMNASIUM SUITS. Normal dependence upon physical stimulation. Robust enthusiasm in approaching life’s contests or immature impulsiveness. The stars are guiding us to make time for inner work, to review the year and rediscover our center as the holidays approach. The Sabian symbol indicates that this year’s end is not a retirement, but a recharge. It also serves as a reminder to exercise and care for our health in the midst of vacation.

THE TOWER OF BABEL : PART 3 by Jessica Murray

THE TOWER OF BABEL : PART 3

The Buck Stops Here

In this series we’ve looked at some of the assumptions underlying the media onslaught about the election.
We’ve considered how it boxes us into a worldview not our own. This is true of all media messaging. Is it possible to
think outside of the box when we can’t see its walls? Or its floor. In the San Francisco subway station, huge flat
advertisements for electronics carpet the platform. We found this shocking and surreal at first, but we no longer do.

No longer surreal

We’re used to it, and can negotiate our world in spite of it. But I think we have to identify fakery for what it is,
in order to not information-overloadbe diminished by it. What happens when it’s so ubiquitous, we can’t identify it
any more? When we’re in the superstore, we tune out the ambient ads that play over the PA system in an endless loop.
But on some level of our beings, we register the intrusion, and we shut down a little bit more. Although we barely see
the ads on the floor of the transit station, we absorb their message: that we’re not workers or travelers or human beings,
but consumers. In the category of fakery for manipulative purposes, we must include the buying and selling of politicians. Elections in a plutocracy are an example of large-scale fraud for large-scale commercial purposes. As with advertising, we brush off the grotesque smarminess of political speeches, understanding their falseness as an integral part of the lingua franca. We even have a phrase for its cynical codes: dog-whistle-speak. What happens to a society when egregious insincerity becomes unremarkable?

Beyond Politics

The filmmaker Adam Curtis is our most eloquent chronicler of this phenomenon: the normalization of the hollow and the fake (his latest film is HyperNormalisation). He talks about the manipulations of modern culture, so pervasive that we don’t notice them. It’s like that country song, “How can I miss you if you don’t go away?” There is insidious power in ubiquity. We’re used to thinking of power as “politicians telling us what to do,” Curtis says, but this age-old construct needs an update. How powerful are federal regulations, for example, compared to the power inherent in algorithms that monitor every move we make online? We won’t see Curtis interviewed on MSNBC any time soon. He’s too radical, and not in the narrow political 220px-chris_hedges_blursense. His perspective is an example of a way to talk about the election that does not leave us in numb passivity. Visionaries like Curtis and journalist Chris Hedges urge us to exert ourselves. They inspire us to resist the deadening of our sensibilities. By getting us to throw off the dominant narrative, they guide us back to the center of our own chart.

Back to the chart

Astrology teaches that all roads lead back to the natal chart. No matter how much blame can justifiably
Any contemplation of how to respond to a toxic environment comes back to the fact that there are reasons – mysterious
but specific karmic reasons — why we incarnated into this particular epoch and place. And the way we find out what those reasons are is by looking at ourselves. This is not to say that self-examination cancels out caring about the outer world. From the perspective of astrology – as above, so below; as within, so without — both the personal and the collective realms are valid lines of inquiry. Both can lead us, or fail to lead us, to wisdom. (1)

Power and control

Consider the ever-fascinating themes of fatal ambition, power and control. Symbolized by the planet Pluto, they are
features of the human condition in general, and of the specific age we were born into. And they take on a very individual form, too. Each 13438814_1777969632439895_286329444173991538_nnatal chart suggests our own unique relationship to the domination/ submission dynamic.
The cycles of Uranus (revolution), Neptune (mass trends) and Pluto (breakdown) help us understand big cultural events
as well as our attitudes towards those events. The other planets reveal the personal resources we bring to group experiences. They suggest why we’re interested (Mercury) in certain features of our society, what skills we could contribute (Mars), what our relationship is to its dominant paradigm (Saturn), and what values (Venus, Jupiter) we develop within it. The chart hints at what our point of entry could be to an event like this election. That is, our optimal point of entry: What it could be, if we weren’t taking our cue from the contrivances of our culture.
This point of entry is, by definition, as unique as a fingerprint.

As an observer of US politics, my own view is that the issues afoot are much larger than who wins the White House next
month. As Roseanne Barr puts it, “It doesn’t matter which one of them wins, it’s the … duopolistic fundraising arm of
the prison-military-industrial complex.” As an astrologer, my question is: What cosmic lessons are represented by the various characters engaged in this morality play, set in the waning years of the American Empire? Some analysts are taking a page from Thomas Carlyle’s “Great Man Theory” of history (a phrase that now, significantly, needs to be amended for gender). This approach sees human evolution as being shaped by certain individuals whose unique attributes prepare them – even compel them – to a place of power that changes the world.

The transpersonal take on this idea is that such a person has emerged from the necessities of their place and time,
like an indigenous plant sprouting when the conditions are just right. Once such a person has risen to a certain level
of leadership, they have effectively ceased to be an individual in the normal sense of the word. They’ve become an
extension of the collective. This view has something in common with the way monarchs were seen, in the age of rule by divine right. Kings and czars were believed to be mystically appointed embodiments of the collective soul. The extreme reverence shown this month by ordinary Thais for their deceased king comes to mind. The great astrologer Dane Rudhyar believed that some people, having reached a requisite level of individuation, live out their own dharma and that of the collective simultaneously. Their path is no longer merely personal. They surrender
their own egos to the world moment. They are what we call heroes.

I think most of us would agree that, more often, public figures surrender to the mass mind without having first become individuated. They become objects of emotive collective projection: a mirror for mass fantasies, as movie stars are. They are personifications of some key teaching necessitated by group karma. We can see this in the two candidates vying for the White House right now. They are singular embodiments of American society in the mid-20-teens. For good or ill, they’re here to show us ourselves. I think everybody gets this. Many observers have called Trump a caricature of the male entitlement of this culture in this era. Just as many have pegged Clinton as a caricature of the gimlet-eyed focus and willingness to play the corrupt game that any first-woman-president would have to cultivate. We’ve created these two in order to help us understand what’s going on, as the USA lumbers towards its Pluto Return (exact in 2022)(2) on the threshold of the Age of Aquarius.

FROM OUR CENTER

The ultimate meaning of this big drama can be found only through our own point of entry. To discover this, those on a path of individuation will find themselves going back to their chart: the script for our lifetime play. By this I don’t mean you have to literally look at your astrological chart (although of course I think it helps, like, a lot). I mean that if we’re going to learn anything from all this, we need to observe it from our psycho-spiritual center. And if we want to talk about it, we have to take back the conversation.

1 I discuss the false divide between work-on-the-self and work-in-the-world (psycho-spiritual vs. secular) in “The World Moment,” an essay in the anthology Transpersonal Astrology.

2 My essay on the US Pluto Return, “Right Use of Power,” is in The Mountain Astrologer, Feb/ March 2014.

Metaversal Astral Terrain Reports for December 6th to 12th

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6
When Mars is in Aquarius: Dynamic yet erratic energy levels, achieving our goals through hit or miss tactics, and impersonal expression of anger are characteristics of Mars in Aquarius. We are team players–cooperative and less concerned about personal power. We are attracted to unconventional methods, and tend to approach problems from an intellectual, detached perspective. Waxing Moon in Pisces harmonizes with powerful Pluto and mystical Neptune, strengthening our creative inspiration and increasing the power of your visualization of intentions set at last Tuesday’s New Moon.Morning is particularly favorable for making a dream board, treasure map, or related tools. Meditation on forgiveness, metta or compassion will not only harmonize our feelings, but also our dealings tonight, bringing out the highest and the best of a sextile from feisty Mars to rebel Uranus in the sign of its rule. We are motivated by our irrational emotions rather than our rational intellects while the reflective Moon visits compassionate Pisces. We make choices based upon our dreams rather than practical reality. However, the Moon’s conjunction with nebulous Neptune can either heighten our sense of spirituality or trigger reactions based upon fear. Thankfully, an innovative Mars-Uranus sextile reveals a brilliant solution just in the nick of time. This aspect, if applied with tact, can open doors suddenly and serve as a short-cut to results from direct action.
Drive with prudence.

WATERWEEK
SO WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THIS SECOND WEEK OF THE 12th LUNAR CYCLE OF 2016? THE MOON'S SECOND QUARTER IS WHERE WE UTILIZE THE POWER OF METAVERSAL MIND, WATER, THE KABBALISTIC WORLD OF BRIAH, THE PATTERN, THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF OUR EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL BODIES. SINCE BRIAH IS THE REALM OF GODS AND FAERIES, ANGELS AND GODDESS'S, IMAGES AND SYMBOLS, VISIONS AND VOICES, WE CAN EXPECT NOTHING LESS THAN KNOWLEDGE AND CONVERSATION WITH THE PATTERNS OF OUR DEEP SELVES, WHAT CARL JUNG CALLS "ASPECTS OF THE SELF. THE UNIFIED, SELF-ORGANIZING ENTITY WE ARE EXPRESSIONS OF".

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7

When Mercury is in Capricorn, our thinking is methodical and our focus is sober and practical. It is easier to concentrate on the task at hand under this influence. Our conversations may be quite realistic or focused on business/practical matters. Our thought patterns and communication styles become more logical, orderly, and organized. We are more able to sort out what is relevant and essential. Realism enters the picture, our speech is no-nonsense, and precision becomes important to us. We need to be wary of becoming too rigid in our thinking. We may come across as cold or harsh. For some, there is a fine line between realism and pessimism. Moon reaches First Quarter in Pisces at 1:03 am (4:03 ET) before going VOC on a square to demanding Saturn at 6:05 this morning. In Pisces, Moon still performs and brings out the potential for compassion of Venus as the love planet enters universal Aquarius. This is a great day to declutter the desk, bookcase and space with an eye to consolidating the intentions we chose at last Tuesday’s New Moon. With Venus entering Aquarius, we can also declutter our social connections and turn to true friends, in line with an altruistic holiday project. The Sabian symbol for today’s lunation is 16 Pisces: IN A QUIET MUSEUM, AN ART STUDENT DRINKS IN INSPIRATION. Subjective source of strength around all manifestation. Communion with accumulated race power. Deep, vibrant realization.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8
The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Water.Projecting Light Specific Blue and facing West, vibrate this azure deluxe into your Second Chakra along with the mantrum: EE-BE-DA. Jupiter is all about allowing ambiguity, contradiction, and movement. It isn't about integration. It helps the ego become more flexible. By Jove, life isn't about staying calm and balanced, but rather about keeping complexity and drama and everything else alive and in dynamic flow. Moon enters Aries in the wee hours and today’s influences help us get on the good side of its verve.
With Thursday’s prosperous Jupiter vibration and today’s numerology of 8, an early sextile from Moon to Venus can be channeled by acting to revive something we had started before Mercury entered its retrograde shadow on December 2. It can be anything froma business to an altruistic project or romance.Use the energy early—at 3:43 pm (6:43ET), Moon squares Saturn, good for demanding results from ourselves, though we should watch for belligerence and guilt trips.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9
If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. The Day of Venus, who gets oversimplified like a lot of her sisters, is one of the most complex planets going: she works as an attractive force and as a creative one. Intelligence is the greatest aphrodisiac, but a dab of extract from a civet's anal gland and a nice pair of shoes will work just as well today Venus, who gets oversimplified like a lot of her sisters, is one of the most complex planets going: she works as an attractive force and as a creative one. wel. lThe 5 roses represent the five senses in the Empress card (Atu 3) And in the Lovers card (Atu 6 ) the senses are the five fruits of Eve. Victory lies in understanding our desire nature and learning how to use it. hen Venus is in Capricorn: Getting serious about our finances and boosting our relations with business partners and/or co-workers will be easier than usual under this influence. Our talents for creating artistic structure and form are enhanced, and our ability to form connections with people who support our ambitions is increased. We value enduring connections, reliability, and faithfulness. We take expressing our feelings seriously, and we take our time to warm up to others. We generally keep our “cool” in relationships.Confidence surges and luck brightens the sky as Sun in optimistic Sagittarius sextiles its ruler, fortunate Jupiter, in socially adept Libra. This aspect is highly propitious for promotion, education and publicity.
The brightest orb is also moving to conjunct Saturn, casting this fun aspect in a more serious light, and calling us to pour some energy into an area or situation where we have felt pressured this year. Look for the middle degrees of Sagittarius in your birth chart to confirm the connection. Moon in go-getter Aries connects with success planets Jupiter and Saturn this morning, facilitating tangible results. Plan and act before 5:06 pm (8:06 ET), when Moon goes VOC on a sextile to ruler Mars. Take a break to enjoy low-key physical fun: dancing, bowling, or a sports event. Your sheets and covers may look normal when you go to bed tonight, but mental Mercury will sextile mysterious Neptune in the wee hours, opening unusually inspiring dream portals. Sleep with a note book by your bed to write down dreams on wakening. Affirmation (sit on the edge of the bed and repeat several times before sleeping):Deep within, I know how to strengthen my (mention area where Saturn is transiting your chart), and the way is revealed clearly in dreams I will remember on waking in the morning.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10
The Day of Saturn in the kabbalistic World of Water, Briah. Wearing Black and facing North, invoke the spirit of Johnny Cash into your Base Chakra (The Malkuth "Lil' World" Morphogenetic Field Transceiver) with the mantrum. "Because your mine, I walk the line". With it being Waterweek, honor Saturn today by creating greater stability in the Metaverse, actively expressing or experiencing your security needs, and cleansing and strengthening your base Chakra. Other Saturnian imbalances can show themselves in various ways, from sleeplessness and the inability to relax, to obsession with money, possessions or healthIt’s a bird, it’s a plane… it’s a power Saturday! Check last night’s dream for guidance. Use the leadership numerology of today’s “1” and the Sun’s light and vitality as she connects with Saturn to inject new life and forge ahead in the area that Saturn has been transiting your natal chart (see yesterday’s influences). This strategy and action can help you close the entire year on a more satisfying note. Particularly propitious are concerns related to prosperity, creativity, romance, and connections with others.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11
The Day of the Sun and the Sun is in Sagittarius. Summer ends with the beautiful colors of Libra. Then, as the Sun moves into Scorpio, the intensity of autumn magnifies. The leaves shrivel and die. By the time the Sun reaches Sagittarius, there is a wintry look to the northern landscapes. The leaves have fallen from the trees and the view is open to a larger sky. Sagittarius is about wide open spaces. The arrow of the Archer represents thoughts, and during the Sagittarius month, our aspirations can be aimed high. Our minds go to far-away places and we think about our long-term goals in life. We may dream of travel and visualize the future. This day is loaded with opportunities, both subtle and practical. Do you have any business you can do today? Rise early and take care of it as Moon in abundant Taurus trines Pluto in builder-sign Capricorn. If there’s no practical outlet for these energies, enjoy their sensual side by sharing a special breakfast, massage and whatever-happens-next in bed. The 11th day is a portal to elevate humanity’s love vibration, and now, only one day before Guadalupe-Tonantzin’s feast day, this is the last such opportunity of the year. Partake of a spiritual service or encounter, or simply meditate in a way that helps you achieve this wavelength. A chain of lunar contacts to the orbs of success, Jupiter, Saturn and Sun, remind us that practical actions also can be sacred and today, especially productive. At 8:04 pm (11:04 ET), Moon in creative but stubborn Taurus goes VOC on a square to bellicose Mars. Interaction with others can lead to explosive situations. Also tonight, inspiration rises as Sun trines Uranus, planet of genius. Use insomnia to make headway with a creative endeavor or strategize for activism.

December Fireweek Forecasts

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1
After a five-month retrograde, Chiron goes direct, helping us look at healing issues that we have been going over and
repeating during this time. Today’s aspects favor audacious actions and progress, giving us a chance to apply a new level of confidence. Assertive Mars in friendly Aquarius trines confidant Jupiter in social Libra, a yearly aspect that’s worth using. It can help us break through barriers with direct action, and—considering the signs involved—make strides in creative or people-related endeavors. It can also make us bombastic, argumentative or pushy, particularly with the warrior planet
in opinionated Aquarius. waxing Moon in constructive Capricorn helps us organize for results.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2
Mercury the communicator helps bring us down to earth as it enters Capricorn. We can use it to plan our strategies, generate results to satisfy Moon in constructive Capricorn, and keep our communications on a wise note. This is especially important (and challenging!) in the midst of tense aspects
to Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus, the big bosses of the solar system. This is not the best night for romance, unless you have
the exceptional grace of being in love with a sensual intellectual who can easily move from argument to lust.
We might focus rather on organizing our space, tying up loose ends, getting a foot massage or warm bath, and resting
early.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3
Moon goes VOC in the wee hours on a conjunction to love-planet Venus, followed by a harmony from hot Mars to solid
Saturn. With Moon VOC this morning, we might choose relaxation, yet the contacts sound good for a sensual encounter
with a stable partner, doing yoga or taking a brisk walk in the beautiful outdoors. At 11:44 am (2:44 pm), Moon enters
exciting Aquarius. Afternoon is great for joining with friends, visiting the Exploratorium, and enjoying a cultural
activity.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4
The stars design to deliver a Sunday that’s worthy of its name. Moon in Aquarius, sign of friends and culture, sextiles
Sun in enthusiastic Sagittarius, and moves to trine Jupiter tonight. Go off the beaten path: visit an unusual exhibit,
buy an airplane ticket, take a hike to a new place, a trip to the city or—if you’re an urban dweller—go to the mountains
or for a ride in a hot air balloon. These energies are also great for promoting something on the web or any kind of cause. Avoid getting too intense with your opinions or sermonizing others. If we manage not to get bombastic or upset by someone’s drama, today is actually great for almost anything. In fact, a late lunar harmony to productive Saturn makes tonight better for work than tomorrow, when Moon will be VOC for most of the day. So if you’re insomniac or restless, stay up and use it.

MONDAY, DECEMBER 5
At 3:23 am (6:23 ET), Moon in Aquarius goes VOC on a sextile to Uranus. Make a date with the artist within,
find some way to allow your creative juices to flow, see an art film or read a good book. Enjoy your own company or
that of friends who share your ideals. Time is accelerating and although we’re being thrust into the future, there are
trouble spots ahead. Thankfully, we can use our emotions to fuel progress as the idealistic Aquarius Moon tangles with
warrior Mars. Instead of turning our attention inward, we have a chance to express our feelings in a constructive manner.
But there’s no time to waste because our fantasies are irresistible when the Moon shifts into imaginative Pisces at
8:30 pm pST. . Pisces represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 28 weeks after Conception till
Birth, when after the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on (Aquarius), we become psychically tuned to
the entity later to be known as Mother. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Pisces represents the enlightened Self which must give itself totally to the whole, dissolving into the void, in order to achieve the final unity with the realm of pure spirit. On the World scale, Pisces occupies the period between 1910 and 1969. heralded by the founding of Psychoanalysis, when Mankind began exploring again the Unconscious strata of Life, and by Albert Einstein's (a Pisces) Theory of Relativity. This was the time of Jung, Joyce, Hesse, Huxley, Leary, Burroughs. We transcended the limits the illusion, Maya, the physical World of Assiah, extending inward with the electron microscope and outward with the high powered Telescope. The entire range of audible musical notes and the whole spectrum of visible colour, apprehended and understood. The dissolving power of mutable Water, Second coming of the Fish with the Double Wand of Power, Atom Bomb and LSD. With the Moon in Pisces we have a heightened sensitivity to Musick and the Dreamtime, and we feel the depths of pure compassion for the Metaverse and it's inhabitants. Let the subtlety of thought and expression, the depth of imagination, and the ability to think nonverbally inspire you to create beautiful art and music.
