Tuesday and Wednesday: Awesome Days Indeed!

Tuesday September 28
Moon in Gemini makes two sublime harmonies today, trines to Sun and Saturn, both in Libra. I mean come on, we all Love the balance and Harmony Libra strives for. Such a poetically perfect luster to inhabit. Enjoy social connections—they will provide enduring benefits. Meanwhile, Venus, the love planet, forms a surreal septile with passionate Pluto, intensifying our feelings. It’s difficult to express our desires without overstepping boundaries as the Sun in diplomatic Libra moves toward Thursday’s conjunction with restrictive Saturn. Do not remove the special goggles
just yet. What appears as blackness in this case is a visual field so rich in
data you can't see the florist for the bees. So just surrender and take
things [It's not necessary to write this down -it will happen to you again, in the
same way] shaggy muzzle of a perfunctory dispatch nuzzles your crotch and
growls at the same time

Wednesday September 29
The Day of Mercury in the week of Active Air. Avoid any doctrine or religious movement that advocates a shameful wickedness with
the alphabet The planet of communication, has two home signs: Gemini and Virgo. Gemini represents the objective airy side of thought, while Virgo is the practical, earthy side. So as he is now in Virgo it is a time when thought is most likely to be used with efficiency and conversation grounded in reality. A planet is considered to be strong when in its home sign, one which it is said to rule. This helps direct and refine its energies to higher levels of purity and power. Mercury in Virgo is, therefore, a strong period in which to analyze and criticize with great precision. Taken to its extremes, however, this can become a narrowness of thought that kills imagination and abstraction. Mercury in Virgo often works best after original ideas are born in rough form that can then be polished and refined. The Moon in Gemini brings out a schism in our awareness, a place where what we say and do, think and feel, are not in agreement. This helps us with the big decision we’ve been mulling over these days. We should not underestimate the power of Earthritual/ interlock/ and the focused magnetism of emotion. If we would like less catastrophic weather change, this is specifically the engineering we must learn. Like man, the weather
participates or partakes of both Earth and Sky. These planet-wide
weather up-heavals are literally and specifically, collective emotions. Only
if we can emote collectively and braid our ecosystems with coherent emotion can
we save our future. This is no arbitrary test for survival of our genepool. It is
the perfect test. If we can learn to braid electrical space with the harmonics
which love weaves, then we have passed the "ring pass knot" gate to the
privilege of doing that same activity for the braid creation of star systems
and galaxies with our similar but much unpacked and blossomed electrical bodies.
Love is not just a good idea, it's the Law

Sunday and Monday, the 26th and 27th: Beware of Falling Donkey!

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26
Between dark and light the angles of times are best manifest at their balance, so invoke Apollo, Ra, or the baby-faced Sun god from the Teletubbies into your heart Chakra today. Sunday is always a good day integrate all the planets in our personal Lightcraft. In the World of Yetzirah, Air, the Lightcraft is analogous to the active aspect of the psychological body, or for simplicities sake, let's call it Psyche. In the physical body (in Assiah) there are infinite subdivisions down to the frontier of the physical world, where the particles of matter and impulses of energy are interchangeable. In the same way, the Psyche interpenetrates the body so that the upper part of the physical world percolates and influences the lower part of the psyche, and vice versa. In the macrodimensions of the Metaverse, a crisis can generate a direct contact with the Sun in Yetzirah (Psyche) but after the crisis, the connection fades, and the watcher in oneself fades back into the subconscious. The Lightpilot seeks to consciously make permanent connection with the Sun in Yetzirah. This is done by constant observation of actions, emotions and intellect, to perceive impartially the way those functions operate, and to correct and perfect their performance so as to become a true seething. To be the big picture, complete in all its parts. Moon in Taurus brings relationship imbalances out again as it opposes Mars and Venus. If you take a position you could get stuck there, where at other times you might be more flexible. Still, it brings to the foreground what we consider inviolable and the things we hold on to in our nature, no matter what. Sometimes we have to hold firm. With the Moon in well-grounded Taurus, it's less bullshit, more pasture, yet never has mankind been so full of manure, or needed so desperately the proper soil to cultivate its higher consciousness, than today. Now I don't mind telling you that my ego hates the idea of being shit for someone else's buddhahood! " How can you believe in astrology?," angry, drunken Basque separatists have asked me. I tell them that astrology is not a belief system, but an archetypal, poetic language. I don't ask you if you believe in Japanese. I ask if you speak it. I don't ask you if you believe in music, I ask if you play it. I happen to speak the heavenly tongue of astrology along with thousands of other highly intelligent, inspiring, spiritual and even scientific astrologers. If I never have to deal with angry, drunken Basque separatists who have stolen the Shroud Of Turin again, it'll be too soon. Still, if my destiny is to be an untransformed seed-cum-manure of a man - or to put it another way - if I can at least be the source of unconscious friction that triggers another Christ or Buddha's urgency to awaken, then so be it. Fertilize my ego!

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 27
Projecting Light Specific purple or octarine (a particular shade of electric pinkish purple) into your forehead and facing West, activate the Ajna Holographic Image Projection System (third eye), then invoke blessed Gabriel. Diana, or Sailor Moon into your Brow Chakra. It's the Moon's day in the week of active Air and the body in motion. The lunar orb being receptive and reflective, focuses the qualities of the signs and other planets to our personal Lightcraft. The Lunar center, and its intimate connection with the Holographic Image Projection System, is not only the foundation for the astral plane, but is the fiery aspect of astral energy itself. The Taurus Moon reaches a cluster of planets found late in their sign. A trine to Mercury brings a peaceful inner reconciliation of head/mind and heart/feeling, a prerequisite for all wise decisions. . Life is trying to teach us where we need to be more “solid” with/in ourselves. Why? Because the more internally connective and self-responding we are, the more we will get out of things soon to come. Somehow it seems a bit fascist, doesn’t it, this period I’m describing. But you have to admit it’s rather curious we’ve gone to all this trouble to construct from scratch a time that is not entirely idyllic: you’d think we might’ve attempted something more paradisaical, wouldn’t you. Why bother with the Oil spill? Why the dankness? Why such perverse adventure, such amorphousness, and nothing remotely orgiastic? Well, it’s partly because of budgetary constraints, I confess, but it’s also because we want this time to be alien even to our own imaginings. There are a lot of elements I haven’t told you about, and several I’m unaware of myself: the time is not strictly tame – it is, beyond a certain degree of artificial cultivation, self-generating. I suggest we leave it alone for a while, then see what its wild intelligence has bred. Our healing process is opened again with squares to Neptune-Chiron, bringing realizations that what we perceive doesn’t completely match what is happening in this moment—don’t get caught in appearances. Sextiles to Jupiter and Uranus help us find our way out of the labyrinth. The Moon enters its void of course period at 8:02 pm, but we can use this time for initiating action if we desire. At 11:10 pm, the Moon’s entry into Gemini opens us to more active social participation. Then we can establish a rococo nerve lattice among the quarantined survivors of Operation: Rapture, then we can stamp down a huge and perfect Mandelbrot Set with our ding-a-lings in popular wheatfields, or even feed raspberries to carp.

Tuesday and Wednesday

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 21
Moon in Pisces is a chance too suckle at that sacred, nameless
breast from which we all are nourished, commend to which we will return. It can be a joyous reminder of spirituality that raises hopes or a jealous rejoinder of pyrite that praises dopes. Yet, sitting on magical lace can make this old looker darker in Paris. Truth, we discover in Pisces, is not bound in dogma or anyone's sacred book. It is beyond words, beyond measure, but freely available to any open heart. All we have to do is give up knowing anything and all knowledge is given to us. Wax fingers, hammocks, builders of bridges, trinkets – they all end in snakes or addiction; only you, with your gauche aromas and savoir faire, don’t want to end up stumbling through the supermarket with an evacuated wasp nest on your head. Taking time to wander with music and art, poetry, fantasy, nature and spirituality today is not a retreat from responsibility. These are essential acts that nourish the soul and provide the resilience that makes the hard work ahead possible and purposeful. With the Moon in Pisces today, we are the particles and waves that blink in and out of existence. This is the enigma of Pisces. Paradox. Mysticism. Madness. The longing for Home and the realization that we never left. Pisces represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 28 weeks after Conception till Birth, when after the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on (Aquarius), we become psychically tuned to the entity later to be known as Mother. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Pisces represents the enlightened Self which must give itself totally to the whole, dissolving into the void, in order to achieve the final unity with the realm of pure spirit. On the World scale, Pisces occupies the period between 1910 and 1969. heralded by the founding of Psychoanalysis, when Mankind began exploring again the Unconscious strata of Life, and by Albert Einstein's (a Pisces) Theory of Relativity. This was the time of Jung, Joyce, Hesse, Huxley, Leary, Burroughs. We transcended the limits the illusion, Maya, the physical World of Assiah, extending inward with the electron microscope and outward with the high powered Telescope. The entire range of audible musical notes and the whole spectrum of visible colour, apprehended and understood. The dissolving power of mutable Water, Second coming of the Fish with the Double Wand of Power, Atom Bomb and LSD. With the Moon in Pisces we have a heightened sensitivity to Musick and the Dreamtime, and we feel the depths of pure compassion for the Metaverse and it's inhabitants. Let the subtlety of thought and expression, the depth of imagination, and the ability to think nonverbally inspire you to create beautiful art and music today.

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 22
The Big Solar Orb moves into Libra today. Libra is the sign of the Scales, representing the bridge between opposing forces. It is the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring below the equator. Seeking harmony and creating balanced relationships are favorable qualities of this sign but being overly accommodating can be its downside. Fairness is a valuable idea that allows us to compromise with people without losing our sense of self. Libra is the master teacher of the dance between I and Thou, showing us how to maintain the delicate balance between our needs and those of others. At 4:44 in the morning: you won't see a cop or a raccoon; you can pee in full phantasmagoria under the stars in the night with the wind high and salty and the dome of the sky in full splay sprayed and contusioned upon the black upon the twisted wicked love of the cypress in decline. Someday I'd like to stop three feet from the top of Everest. "Fuck it, I'm not going a single inch further." I'd say and turn around.

Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th (and Monday the 20th for good measure)

SATURNSDAY SEPTEMBER 18
The Moon enters Aquarius at 12:35 a.m. Aquarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 12 weeks to 28 weeks after Conception, when the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Aquarius represents the higher Self projecting itself to the world tribe, through media, groups, circles of friends (your Tribe) and utopian aims and idealistic pursuits alter the prevailing social systems. On the World scale, Aquarius occupies the period between AD 1840 and 1910. This was the time when the established dominance of the material world in Capricorn quickly required more sophisticated planning, spurred by Schopenhauer, ideas and beliefs from the east began flooding the West through such diverse channels as the Theosophical Society, the Golden Dawn, and the operas of Wagner. This was the time of Crowley, Nietzsce, and the early works of Freud. With the Moon in Aquarius we have the ability to combine East and West, Light and Dark, Sun and Moon. This is where we are compelled to reach out to others and network. Uranus conjuncts Jupiter in a big way today. The second of three conjunctions between these visionary planets opens minds to worlds beyond the limits of current logic. Their first union occurred on June 8 and the third will be on January 4, 2011 in a series meant to blow minds and blast through antiquated theologies and fatuous philosophies. New social and political movements may begin with enthusiasm, excess and exaggeration, but we are heading toward a fresh period of human liberation where discoveries in the world and in ourselves will blast us into the future.I hope all of this is useful where it can be and not confusing where it might be, unless the confusion is an impetus to being useful later on. The safety of the fish in the Gulf of Mexico and whatever this forecast is attempting to convey, are both dependent on everyone’s individual state of being and how that matches up against the archetypal realities that our existence is based upon to begin with. My take is, as long as I think I know what that is or I think I can somehow discover it, there’s going to be a problem somewhere and… as long as I don’t know what any of it really means, there’s a chance I’ll find out as long as I can refrain from getting in the way of the answer to whatever question is on the way to me as soon as I ask it. I hope that’s all clear enough for me to say.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 19
Moon in Aquarius today is a beacon for "light workers," Now, we all become light workers. There is a need for light, not only in California but throughout the nation and world, and we have much to do. In Aquarius time we each open to our own light and let it shine for all. We learn that when we put light on any situation, we get light back. Now, with Moon in Aquarius, we can let that light of spirit shine through everything we do. Like electricity, the cosmos flashes through us, and we become conductors of divine messages, each in our unique way. As Aquarius enters, we feel the stirrings of individuality. As a fixed sign, Aquarius demands commitment—commitment to our nobler aspirations, our higher selves, to that great light which radiates from the heart of each of us. The tails of our schnauzers will not droop.

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 20
The Moon floats into Pisces at 1:15 p.m. Well, Your Name, have you come this far to spread intricate sadness with all possible combinations of dour gesticulations and complex facial contortions? Didn't think so. Is there any way the Moon in Pisces could please you without resorting to the obvious? By the time we come to Pisces, we've been and are everything. Identities and boundaries get very fuzzy at this stage, and they're supposed to. Moon in Pisces reminds us that we are on an infinite journey, ever leaving, ever returning. Where have we been? And who are we? We are a raindrop. We are the ocean. As warm jets, we are two fishes swimming in opposite directions, symbolizes the imperative to integrate two dimensions - the finite and the infinite. Neptune, which rules Pisces, was the mythic God of the Sea; he is associated with the swells of emotion and the vast mysteries of the collective unconscious. In the modern Western world, this is largely misunderstood territory. Chickadees have been known to fornicate with badgers here, for christsakes.

Monday and Tuesday, the 12th and 13th

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 13
Projecting Light Specific purple or octarine (a particular shade of electric pinkish purple) into your forehead and facing West, activate the Ajna Holographic Image Projection System (third eye), then invoke blessed Gabriel. Diana, or Sailor Moon into your Brow Chakra. It's the Moon's day in the week of Fire. Pluto (2 Capricorn 47) stations direct tonight at 9:36 pm. Stationary Mercury is visible 5.6 degrees S.E. of Regulus (29 Leo) at 5:00 am. The Moon continues its sojourn in Sagittarius today, Sagittarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between Conception and 7 weeks, the first Lunar month after the sperm reaches the egg, and is a compacted pattern at a molecular time scale of the entire life of the cellular body. The embryo develops in parallel with the earlier phases of evolution, retaining memory of these structures in the brain. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Sagittarius represents Initiation beyond the realms of Death (Scorpio). On the World scale, Sag occupies the period between AD 1500 and AD 1750, The Renaissance. This was the time when astrology, mathematics, musick and geometry were understood as divine techniques for communicating with the Soul of the World. With the Moon in Sagittarius we are into philosophical speculation, adventure, and foreign influences, and actions that expand the awareness through gathering unfamiliar experiences. The Moon passes 2.3 degrees N.N.W. Of Antares (10 Sag) at 10:00 pm PDT. At 9:35 pm, Pluto is stationary direct, and we see even more deeply into our unconscious processes and what’s really important to us—what’s inwardly true.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 14
The Day of Mars in Atziluth. Is your Martian energy burning like a fuel tank on a crashed jumbo jet in the Algerian desert? Or burning like a sputtering flame on a wet candle? Or burning steady like a presto-log in the hearth of the Almighty? It all depends on the quality of your fuel, and the proper fuel/air ratio. When your body (93 percent seawater) is nourished by fiery insight, MA'AT has been achieved. Then your fire is not frightening and lethal, but glowing with placid contentment. Another planet enters a water sign when Mars goes into Scorpio at 3:38 pm. The only other contact today occurs when the Sagittarius Moon makes its First Quarter square to the Sun at 10:50 pm/22°18′ Sagittarius, building energy toward next week’s Full Moon. Power builds toward the Sun-Jupiter-Uranus interaction, which the Moon picks up tomorrow and begins a week of awakening experiences. Now that both Mercury and Pluto have returned to forward motion, the energy of last month’s Full Moon will also be more fully expressed. The man who invented aikido was a samurai who became a pacifist & refused to fight for Japanese imperialism. He became a hermit, lived on a mountain sitting under a tree.. One day a former fellow-samurai came to visit him & accused him of betrayal, cowardice, etc. The hermit said nothing, but kept on sitting--& the other fell into a rage, drew his sword, & struck. Spontaneously the unarmed master disarmed the samurai & returned his sword. Again & again the officer tried to kill, using every subtle kata in his repertoire--but out of his empty mind the hermit each time invented a new way to disarm him. The samurai of course became his first disciple. Later, they learned how to dodge bullets. We might contemplate some form of metadrama meant to capture a taste of this performance, which gave rise to a wholly new art, a totally non-violent way of fighting--war without murder, "the sword of life" rather than death

Friday the 10th through Sunday the 12th

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 10
The Day of Venus in Fireweek. If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen fractal pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. The Moon is balanced in Libra today and we feel like being social. Libra represents the period from 23 to 42 years old, when partnerships are made and balance is sought between others and oneself. On the World scale Libra is between 400 and 1100 AD, when division of the church and state took over, and the Dark Ages swept over Europe and Asia. The opposition is symbolic of the fact that in order to emerge from the unconscious, internal conflicts must be brought out into the light of day. Marriage was the primary process through which opposing countries where integrated into a whole. With the Moon in Libra we are aware of our communal relations, law, justice and balance. The 7th house (Libra) has been called the house of marriage. The key to the New Aeon of MA'AT is figuring out the new symbol for Libra, as the institution of marriage was originally designed as a tool by the Church to secure it's future domination. Those that cannot find this new symbol and perform these symbolic rites on themselves and their tribe, and the whole fabric of material being, will inherit only the blues, decay, and husks. Think more in terms of partnership and remember, your heart must be light as a feather. Take this time to be good to your Libra ruled kidneys. These amazing organs filter some 400-500 hundred gallons of blood a day. Lemons, beets, cranberry juice and cabbage and leafy vegetables are all healing to your kidneys

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 11
The Day of Saturn in the kabbalistic World of Fire Atziluth. Wearing Black and facing North, invoke the spirit of Johnny Cash into your Base Chakra (The Malkuth "Lil' World" Morphogenetic Field Transceiver) with the mantrum. "Because your mine, I walk the line". With it being Fire week, honor Saturn today by creating greater stability in the Metaverse, actively expressing or experiencing your security needs, and cleansing and strengthening your base Chakra. Our consciousness in this chakra is concerned with survival, with our fight or flight response, with our instincts. It links the individual with the physical world. Serves as the foundation to evolve and build personality. If we are to ignore this chakra, and concern ourselves with the higher levels, we will be growing without roots, we will be unstable, unable to withstand the trials that will come our way. If our survival needs are met, the Base Chakra will function healthily, but if there is a perceived threat to this, (such as a difficult house move, job change, health problems, etc.) it can create an imbalance. Other Saturnian imbalances can show themselves in various ways, from sleeplessness and the inability to relax, to obsession with money, possessions or health. The Moon’s entry into Scorpio at 2:21 am opens the door to gentler energies, as she makes sextiles to Pluto and Mercury. These contacts allow us to develop win-win solutions for our current dilemmas. Scorpio represents the period from 42 years old to Death, when ones sense of Time compacts and passes rapidly. Since this stage is the last in the life of the human biological machine, it's now time to transcend the confines of the mortal body and to assure continued existence, either you breed (pass on your DNA) or step out of the loop (become your DNA). On the World scale, Scorpio is between AD 1100 and AD 1500, when the Dark Ages reached their peak. This is the Time of the Crusades and the Inquisition, when Pain, Bloodshed and Oppression swept over Asia, Europe, and the Middle East , after the uneasy alliances made during Libra. This is the sign of the Shadow. Successfully navigated, one can experience healthy, flowing spontaneous sexuality, an acceptance of Death and an integration of its reality into daily life, thus gaining a sense of the immortality of consciousness. Today has no walls, it’s entirely comprised of interior. You can see patterns everywhere, if you choose to. The longer you look, the more intricate they become; look away, and they’re gone. Lacework nerve-cathedrals of confounding microcircuitous elegance, fabulously vivid and animated beyond belief.

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12
The Day of the Sun in Fireweek. The six of Wands (Sun in Atziluth) is all about being acknowledged, getting a pat on the back, achieving recognition. You can triumph over yourself, the environment, or the odds. Your talents begin in the Divine (Atziluth), develop with the love and support of others, and only in the end express through us. When obtaining the summit of this holy mountain, keep in mind this fourth-dimensional "Metaverse" possesses a design and field of motion encoded with solar-galactic information. Few things symbolize victory and glory like obtaining the summit of this Holy Mountain . In order to do so one has to plan, organize, exercise patience, and overcome mental and physical hardships. In short - be willing to do the seemingly impossible and then accept the credit when your objective is completed. Mercury stations direct (5 Virgo 22) at 4:09 pm Consciousness is under siege after all in this Neuropolitical police state, and if you don't want to live your life vicariously through the televisionary archetypes fabricated for "the good of society" (that is, the enfeeblement of the individual), then you have to rely on discrete modes of aberration. Consequently, it seems, the degree of inventiveness to which we've been forced to ascend is matched only by the level of depravity to which we've managed to slide.

METAVERSAL SUN SIGNS
SEPTEMBER 2010

Aries
Your charts suggest strongly that you are making some decision involving marriage. You might be thinking of creating a marriage or of ending one; or you are formulating your thoughts on the subject. Here is what I see: You have a concept that marriage simplifies things. This is consistent with the old expression ‘tying the knot’. There’s nothing so simple going on, however. In truth, your charts present a complex situation regarding not just a relationship, but also your whole idea of what a relationship is. What I suggest is that you shift the entire thought process from ‘relationship’ to yourself. The most important relationship is the one you have with you. When we confuse our inner relationship with the one we have with others, that is called projection. It may not be literally true that whatever you are saying about, or appreciate about, or dislike, in others is true of you; but you would be wise to look for the connection points. In this project, you will learn something from photos. Photos are interesting because they are historical documents and projection screens. Photographs of you, of loved ones, family photos and in particular wedding photos will tell you a lot right now, in the sense of providing useful information. At the moment, certain pictures will paint a thousand words.

Taurus
Nearly every Taurus I know is struggling with their career. This seems to be a life-theme of your sign. Let’s pretend that has something to do with all the activity in Aquarius, your career house. Going back quite a long way — five years, 10 years, even 15 years, depending on how you count — there’s been constant change, movement and an odd sense of insecurity about what you want to do, or what you ’should be doing’. You’ve had plenty of ideas along the way, some of them excellent, but less in the way of traction or stability. Perhaps you know what you want, not how to make it work for you. Remember that most of our experiences train us to compromise passion and curiosity, or to expect certainty and incontrovertible correctness of the plan. Sure, that happens. More often, we find ourselves involved with events, uncertain where they will lead. Through many such experiments, we can arrive in an interesting place. What you have going on is subtler than either of those usual paths. At the moment, you have a rare perspective (think of it as visual, from a high place) that you didn’t have before. Use it to observe the ways you have been conditioned to not know what you want; to want what others want for you; and to doubt your own ideals, for the sake of others. What would your life be like, if you moved all that out of the way?

Gemini
This month’s Mercury retrograde is pretty impressive, and its affects working out well for Gemini. For you, it was all about agreements. You tend to live your life trying to figure out what others expect from you, rather than determining what you want. In the tangle of opinions, obligations and pushing and pulling and sorting out the details, I trust you’ve learned to make this distinction. It’s not only okay to want; whatever the Buddhists may say, desire is your organizing principle. It’s the value by which you decide what to decide: including what to do and who to associate with. Jupiter in Pisces, which just crossed the potent midheaven angle of your solar chart, is offering you a wildcard of desire. This may be arriving as an idea or a vision; or it may be an opportunity you’re not sure is solid. I promise you one thing: this qualifies as something different. It may take you a few weeks to catch on, but now that you have a clue, I suggest you look carefully and make a decision while you’re still excited. One of the distinctions between this and the kind of opportunity you’re accustomed to involves going beyond your usual sense of scale, to something much wider: so wide, indeed, that you may not recognize it for what it is, or selling yourself short because this seems too good to be true.

Cancer
Life would be easier, were the playing field level. Usually it’s not; and it’s slippery, and some people cheat. The deeper issue, though, is what game you are playing, and the rules that you apply. Deeper still is making sure you take full authority over your own life. Two games show up on the radar as being particularly dangerous to your peace of mind. One is retribution; the other is teasing. It’s possible to tease yourself, and it’s possible to get revenge on yourself: if humans are good at two things, it is luring themselves with what is unavailable, and self-loathing (in its many subtle forms). Remember that guilt is not an indicator that you are wrong. Rather, it suggests you have an issue to work out, potentially that you don’t believe your life is your life. It’s altogether better if we get those around us on board with the process of mutually freeing ourselves from guilt. But you don’t need anyone’s permission; that’s part of the game. When we feel guilty the tendency is to blame ourselves or seek forgiveness; a better approach is to offer forgiveness for what you think has been done to you. It may indeed be unclear who is responsible for what, or who is perpetuating any dysfunction; account for the ways you are perpetuating anything distasteful to you, and change your act on the spot.

Leo
There has hardly been a more magnificent time to get clear on the intentions of your relationships. Indeed, it is happening without your deliberate intervention; you seem to be coming into alignment both with yourself and with the people around you. In an odd way, this quality is morphing from your sense of individuality to your sense of mutual purpose in one-to-one experiences; and this is shifting your group encounters. By alignment, I mean sense of purpose and mutual understanding of one another’s most important values. One of your gifts to the world is to love people despite their seeming flaws, and to hold yourself out with dignity as a whole person, understanding perfectly well that you’re not perfect. You now have an opportunity to see how those seeming imperfections provide sources of strength and awareness. This really is the key to enlightenment, in these days when one of the most pressing psychological issues is self-loathing, and when the lack of self-understanding seems to verge on total. It’s deep in your nature to use mistakes, misunderstandings and paradoxes as footholds for learning and awareness; it’s good times when the people around you get into that same mode, and that is approximately what you have going on now. In simple terms, everything is an opportunity to raise awareness. Every seeming fact implies a question. How you see yourself directly influences how you see others.

Virgo
You may not have counted the rewards of so much restless instability in your relationships, going back so many years. The planetary setup has not lent itself to your romantic ideals; you probably canceled your subscription to Modern Bride in 2004. Yet one benefit of what you’ve been through has been to take nothing, and nobody, for granted. There has been no prefabricated scenario that was supposed to come true; you developed a knack for liking and loving people despite their wild oddities, despite what your parents would think; despite what you thought you would think. People have pushed you and challenged your beliefs and made sure you couldn’t hide in your mental box for long. In moments when spontaneous changes happened, you learned to move on. You leaned to envision the future rather than obsess over the past. But something has been missing: a degree of comfort, a space of authentic respite, an actual sense of benefit. Over the past year, you have gained an unusual new depth of clarity and focus, and I imagine you determined that was an omen of positive developments to come. Let that clarity give you the discernment to know healthy, loving influences when they manifest for you. You have been through enough, over enough time, for this to be truly possible. Lay down that restlessness for a while and open the door to love.

Libra
You are not really caught in a situation you cannot get out of — but someone else may really be certain they are. You cannot convince them of the reality of their situation; but you can figure out for yourself that you have options. Having options is another way of saying that you are at a turning point. I suggest you make peace with the possibility that someone you care about may not quite see themselves at that place where a decision is necessary; to the contrary, they may be at a point of maximum chaos and confusion. Even on a good day, you have little choice but to negotiate with the world on your own terms. You are, at least, aware of your situation, and that provides the closest thing to a guarantee that you are going to work it out sooner rather than later. The risk you run is getting drawn into someone else’s drama, their romantic ideals, or their sense of fragmentation. Keep an eye on that third one. It’s the one most likely to drive you nuts, because when people are feeling fragmented those around them tend to respond in fragments. Note, the issue that is troubling them is likely to be a past idea of what a relationship should be, and the way that gets tangled up in the simple reality of life. Give the situation till mid-March to work out; I think it will.

Scorpio
You may be questioning your treatment of someone important to you. You have become deeply sensitive to how someone feels in the environment of your emotions. In any form of emotional healing, step one is getting beyond the guilt that is so deeply entrenched in our relationships. The usual way to do that is by ‘not caring’, and obviously that’s not the answer: you would not be here unless you cared. One way to process guilt is to forgive yourself so that you can forgive everyone else. Most guilt, indeed, nearly all of what we think others think, is projection. Projection is something that is happening internally that we are then perceiving or ascribing to some experience or event ‘outside ourselves’. Just like you cannot write on a movie screen and change the plot, you cannot write on the world or on your relationships and change the underlying feelings. That is why you have to start with you. One thing that is clear is the extent to which you are subject to group dynamics. Much of what you’re dramatizing in your relationships right now involves what happened to you as a child; and that, in turn, created a situation where you don’t feel safe being yourself. So, let’s short-circuit this whole psychological process and summarize it as one question: what would you do if you felt absolutely safe being exactly who you are?

Sagittarius
I’ve noticed something about some Sagittarians I know, which is that they don’t seem to mind living in half-renovated places. I guess when you feel like you came from a different galaxy, living on Earth like it’s a camping trip isn’t so bad; so you don’t mind if your house is wrapped in Tyvek or your bedroom floor is made of plywood as long as it keeps out the rain. Or do you? Jupiter has arrived in Pisces, which is the place we look for information about the home environment of Sagittarius. I suggest you take a series of swift steps to transform your home into someplace you’re actually comfortable. Finish work in progress; make a list of anything that’s broken or out of place and repair or remove it. Get someone who knows Feng Shui to come and help you arrange things to maximize the efficiency of energy flow. Clean, clean, clean — with Dr. Bronner’s soap and water, not chemicals. If you don’t like where you are, now is the time to make an easy move to someplace better. All of this will have useful material effects, and the sense of closure that you get from fixing that which was long broken will help you feel more settled, like you’re here on the planet to stay for a while; and your home is a place where others who love you feel welcome.

Capricorn
Do you know those email things designed to prevent you from writing to people if you’re drunk? The one with a series of arithmetic questions to make sure you’re clear enough to handle yourself? I suggest installing one of those on your entire life this month. Be careful what you do under the influence of any substance; ‘do’ includes say and do; it includes what you don’t do; and most of all, this includes how you respond to what you feel and what you think. You’re under a mix of influences that could lead you to act uncharacteristically: impulsively, or ‘not really coming from you’. Your emotional confusion is calling on you to take conscious, careful steps with the people you love, particularly with yourself. This month’s planetary setup won’t prevent you from feeling clearly who you are, unless of course you let it do so. Yet you must be especially careful with substances, which will emphasize some emotions over others, sometimes contradictory. In itself this is not a bad thing: every emotion is valuable for what it teaches you. It’s just that you don’t want to act on certain darker sentiments; better to acknowledge and make peace with them. To give another example, if you want to have sex with someone on a few glasses of wine, first make sure they’re still interesting when all you’ve had is a coffee — preferably not the next day.

Aquarius
Why are you the way you are? You seem to have lost contact with your motives — which you’re finally figuring out, now that you’re back in the groove of listening to them again. In the journey of awakening, you’re in that delicate space of playing snooze tag with yourself, only it’s not a single day you’re preparing to embark on; it’s the rest of your life. Denial is a peculiar state, unique to human consciousness: the ability, in essence, to pretend we’re not aware of something that we are actually aware of. Denial presumes that there is something to deny; and that we have a motive to keep it from awareness. If you notice that you’re struggling to admit something to yourself, break it down into what that something is, and why you might not want to acknowledge it. While you’re pondering that, here is another question: is this whole thing a dance around how you were treated as a child? Are you covering up for someone else’s psychological stance toward you? Once that pattern is established, it can establish a pattern that the mind copies, which then propagates and takes root in many other relationships. See if you can get to the original motive; the original transaction that led you to learn any mode of response that involved pretending or denying that something obviously true was not. Get clear about that and much else will come into focus.

Pisces
For a long time, longer than you may care to admit, you’ve grown accustomed to a certain kind of progress in your life: behind the scenes, or in theory, or in principle. Fortunately, you have a rich inner life, and this enables you to stay interested in existence even in times when movement is slow or invisible, or when fulfillment seems unlikely. Yet this has caused you to live in two worlds: one being a world where so much is happening, and where you can envision what is possible; and another where the people around you seem oblivious to their own potential and where potential, in general, seems frozen. Get ready for something different. Jupiter arriving back in your sign Mid month is going to do a lot in a short time, all of it in visible, tangible ways. If you write plays, you may find them suddenly being produced on the live stage. If you write books, you are likely to discover people interested in publishing you. If you drum alone, you will surely find other drummers. What was solitary can now become social; what you were sure was worthless to the world now suddenly may have a high value. Yet to manifest this potential, you must do what is perhaps the most challenging thing for a Pisces: think in a forward direction; exist outside your previous states of confinement; leave behind your prior role of victim of existence for your new role as benefactor.

New Moon Wednesday and the next day (Thursday)

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 8
The New Moon (15 Virgo 41) is exact at 3:30 am. This Union of Sun and Moon in Virgo can be a springboard for developing new skills or taking a major step toward refining existing technical abilities, especially anything to do with working with your hands. Virgo represents the period from 13 to 23 years old, when mental growth dominates our lives and many attend institutes of higher learning. Many binding choices are made and the rules and details of society are learned. On the World scale Virgo is between 800 BC and AD 400, when classical civilizations like Greece and Rome flourished, when culture, science, philosophy, politics dominated. By AD 300the Books of the New Testament were chosen to support the beliefs of the Christians who formed the political organization of the Church. The naive excepted the surface value, while initiates were forced to hide (occult) their rituals and teachings. Until now. Even above Earth, there are secrets at the heart of Nature that'd make you laugh till you stopped." How can you believe in astrology?," angry, drunken Basque separatists have asked me. Venus moves into Scorpio at 2:53 am. Performing a kind of "cosmic physics" in a soft laboratory of enmeshed muscle and mind. Yummy. Retrograde Jupiter moves into Pisces at 9:49 pm.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 9
The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Fire,Atziluth. If you don't have a good laugh today, you are missing the point. There is a whole division of the Angelic Hierarchy assigned to the sephiroth Chesed (Jupiter) whose purpose is divine inspiration through laughter. And there is no vision more critical in the career of the adept than the Metaversal Joke. Did you here the one about the astrologer who broke his arm and attributed it to an accident? The waxing Moon passes 7.2 degrees S.S.W. of Saturn (5 Libra) at 10:09 am. and Mars (26 Libra 46) trines Neptune (26 Aquarius 46) As an exercise today, cut the heads off three BP executives (for those living in the interior, Halliburton executives will do) and place their Gullivers in the glove compartment of a stalled and abandoned car. If they don't fit, keep trying. Another way of distracting your Metaversal Mind is to push zucchini through the mail slots of new neighbors while dressed as a bumblebee and singing the lyrics to "This Corrosion". Fringe benefit of this experimental behaviour: you'll be the secret envy of anyone who ever professed to know what you were going to do next.

The September Astral Terrain

September is another mighty morphing power month here on planet Earth. Neural rivulets streak and explode like rain in a wind tunnel. Whenever systems break down, as they have been doing around the world, an opportunity to reinvent our place in the Metaverse presents itself. We can take on a leadership role or retire disguised to a small town. One needs one’s higher faculties to explain whatever it is one is doing down there on the floor. The planets have been configured in a close-knit interaction in the early degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), the renowned cardinal cross of 2010. You cannot help but love this stellar spectacle, so guileless and indulgent. Such a stark lustre to inhabit, you degenerate stars. Although this pattern continues in September, its pressure on us is abating. Uranus and Jupiter, two big players in this pattern, have slipped back into dreamy Pisces for the time being. They have been dancing together since the late winter, and in the process they will make three conjunctions, the first of which occurred (at 1 Aries) on June 8. An oily destructo-ball rolled across the horizon: a retinal trick (eyes on the risen sun). and the awful Truth came running to you like the last albino alligator bolting out of the catacombs into your arms.
Just looking at the lineup of planets with which September starts, it looks rather scattered. That evolves as the month does, but one wouldn’t expect September to start with the slickness of sliding into a bed cloaked in satin sheets. With the Sun in earthy Virgo moving into emotional degrees, we are caring about the “what is” quotient in life and how things are going. Questions—from “is it working?” to questions about ethics against morals, at whatever level (pro, con or in fervent denial)—ooze through our days like mud after a flood seeping in under the back kitchen door. Mercury is retrograde, which gives us the contemplative rather than “doing something about it” signal, and with Mars in late Libra, resolve is weak. Many of us are weary, maybe even over-daunted with much of what’s going on. ). Pretend you can breathe even if you have a butternut squash shoved down your wind pipe. Venus in late Libra seeks relief and makes efforts to make good on good intentions, and goodness knows those are needed. But will they be enough? Saturn in early Libra indicates challenges in the world, which may be nothing but responsibilities which if attended to will get done. But this placement can manifest as a delays which feel like rejection—even a total sense of being repelled by others for whatever reason. Jupiter’s retrograde motion in Aries adds to the murkiness of knowing whether it’s you, or them (if it’s Memorex…) and not only doesn’t anyone have the answers to all our questions, but considering how preoccupied they are with their lives, we aren’t likely to get the emotional satisfaction we want either. The dancing bear puts the red dress back on, announcing grandly that you and I are the guests of Le Comte de Lautréamont. We trash the place, but leave swiftly when physical injury from retaliation appears imminent. Uranus starting the month in a critical degree of emotional Pisces has us all feeling our feelings to the max. Neptune retrograde in Aquarius has us feeling uncertain about the world, and Pluto in Capricorn is slowing down to take its station. All this guaranteeing that baby, the pressure is either on—or at least it feels like it’s on! For those who are counting, three planets in earth, one in fire, one in water and four in air: right now we are on balance thoughtful, thoughtless, thinking about things, thinking over what to do next or thinking about what others think of us. And maybe all of the above. With second place going to the earth element, that means what gets done and/or what has been done seems the proof of the pudding and the irrevocable fact. What’s needed here is a little fiery imagination, motivation and hope, but the one planet in fire (Jupiter) is retrograde, producing that “not a lot to hook onto out there” feeling. And with Uranus in Pisces’ critical degree, our feelings about what we’re feeling are maximally unstable, unpredictable, inconceivable to others and probably a bit of a surprise to ourselves.

The Great 2010 Cardinal Climax of which I have spoken of more times than any single astrological event ever, for the last 15 years of my life, is upon us. Pluto, planet of subterranean (and submarine) riches is now T-squaring Saturn (responsibility) and Uranus (revelations)/Jupiter (global implications). Together they have ushered into the group mind a blowout drama that is bringing up many urgent questions at once. From the point of view of consciousness evolution, these questions are the reason this had to happen. The disaster has triggered an unusually emotional public response. People are viscerally engaged. They are thinking about the role of cars in their lives. The phrase “oil addiction” has been coming up a lot. Many have started thinking differently about water. There is a growing sense among the populace that if a bay is fouled miles away, our personal relationship to water is accordingly compromised. From an ecological perspective, this is a literal fact; and clean water is fast becoming the most precious resource on the planet. More people die from polluted water every year than from all forms of violence, including war. The physical and esoteric meanings of water parallel each other. We learned in biology class that humanity’s ancestors were single-celled sea creatures, and that all waters find their way eventually to the sea. On a symbolic level, water is the Metaversal matrix from which we all arose and to which we will all return. To assuage the anguish that the clean-up crews and the oil companies and the government have failed to assuage, we can press into service, right now, the symmetry between the physical and the mystical meanings of water. As astrologer Adam Gainsburg and others have suggested, one way to spiritually engage with what is occurring in the Gulf is to connect with the waters of our bodies.. (see Water Ritual in this issue) Such an exercise can help us come home to the Metaversal matrix that water represents, to resonate with it, to pledge allegiance to it. This ritual promotes a healing that is appropriate to the injury at hand. Since April 20th I have heard many people say that they feel the Earth has sustained a gushing, bleeding wound. This image is pure Chiron, which has been conjunct Neptune (the collective unconscious) for two years now. At the moment of the explosion, Chiron had just entered Pisces, the most universal of the water signs, for the first time in 41 years. Because it departs so uncomfortably from our psychological assumptions, Chiron is one of the most problematic symbols in astrology. It dares to propose that although human pain is a fact of life, when we follow its lead fearlessly pain becomes soul medicine. Understanding this distinction between pain and suffering, which is also essential to Buddhist thought, is the key to Chironic healing. (If we miss it, we’re in the same boat as the student of Pluto who reads death/rebirth or I-A-O as merely death.) Over the two years that Uranus (rude awakenings) has been opposite Saturn (big business) there has been a shift in how people define corporate accountability and social acceptability. With the DeepWater incident this trajectory has crested. There is a mythic quality to the disaster; everything about it is larger than life. This is not surprising, given that when the disaster began, Jupiter (exaggerated size) had moved into a key position in the sky. The big gas giant, whose dark side is excess was conjunct Uranus (explosions) and opposite Saturn (failure) when the rig blew up. Negative Jupiter manifests as hubris. The ambitions of the oil-drillers – who are still operating a dozen other deepwater rigs of equally fatal size, right now, lessons unlearned were all out-of-proportion to common sense. It is now well known that BP did not subject its stupendously ill-advised project to even the barest minimum of testing or planning. Misused Jupiter leads to excessive recklessness. The oil company’s petition to drill was riddled with short-cuts and utter Bullshit Lies!. As Naomi Klein has observed, in BP’s assurances to the feds of how little risk the drilling would entail, they talk about Nature as if She were a predictable, agreeable junior partner; sort of an unpaid subcontractor. After the explosion occurred, they scrambled to put together clean-up strategies that were so astoundingly ineffective they’d be comic if they weren’t so hideously tragic. The spirit behind these failed fixes, even their names, seems to derive from a bad action movie. Top kills, junk shots and laser-directed robots with diamond saws? It sounds like little boys dreaming up cool comic-book rescues. Goddess forbid the oil executives would admit, even now, that they don’t know what they’re doing.
