The Final Days of 2010

Wednesday December 29
The Day of Mercury in the Earthweek and appropriately a sense of relief and release permeates the day, as Mercury returns to forward motion (stationary direct) at 11:21 pm. At 8:31 am, the Moon makes a trine to Chiron and leads us into the quiet of her void-of-course period, which lasts until she goes into Scorpio at 12:49 pm. We’ll feel like we need to be productive as Mars squares Saturn, but action may prove frustrating. It’s a good time to wait out the obstructions we see around us. There’s a bear in a dress at the top of the stairs. A candleflame flickers, casts its granular light upon the deserted deck of a whaling ship. Neuro-accretions in soft tryptamine sleep. Wherever the stage disappears in blackness. A caboose snowed under. Cozy up with a loved one, or connect with friends over dinner and a moody.

Thursday December 30
The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Earth, Asiah. If you don't have a good laugh today, you are missing the point. There is a whole division of the Angelic Hierarchy assigned to the sephiroth Chesed (Jupiter) whose purpose is divine inspiration through laughter. And there is no vision more critical in the career of the adept than the Metaversal Joke. Everyone laughed when I sent my dog Xero to the Canine Academy Of Design, but they won't be laughing today when he continues to shit all over their lawn. The Scorpio Moon brackets our day with possibilities, as she sextiles Sun early and Mars late. Enjoy, activate, live!

Friday December 31
All the action occurs early, as the Moon makes contact with Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, and Chiron before its void period starts at 1:07 pm. Love and uncertainty are companions in our mind today. Okay, one more time, this time with Mercury direct. Tonight, Metaversal Media presents.......

The Core issue 66 release event and Iao Core: “Live on the Pharm” CD Listening Party

They are here. The Winter 2010 copies of the 66th issue of The Core. These gorgeous, hand made, investment quality art zines are limited to 200 copies of each issue. Each mag has a painting of an Enochian Angel by yours truly, Johannes Ayres, as it's back cover, so this will be the last time all 200 paintings can be viewed at the same time and anyone interested in picking out the painting they want gracing the back of their copy can do so.. This issue features : the Coming Insurrection (the infamous manifesto in it’s entirety, The Secret History of Oil, interviews with Siouxsie Sioux , Peter Carrol, and Alejandro Jawdorosky, Iao Core News, as well as a free CD of Iao Core’s live performance at Heather Farms Park in Walnut Creek this summer. Tonight at 7:00 p.m., as dog is my witness, I will show you the process of production of the Enochian Angel Paintings, and you can view all 200 before they catch the four winds, and be the first to hear the new Iao Core CD (it's awesome). Celebrity guests will read excerpts from this issue, and Cash Hose will give a slide presentation/lecture on his recent trip to the Abyss …Will there be fireworks? No, there will not be fireworks, but there’s a young Christian girl (a bastard daughter of yours, if Reverend Glitch is to be believed) who will read from the Core for tips and cheese. You needn’t dress in any but the most perfunctory manner nor bring any crickets (there will be plenty of those!) and I myself will be wearing but a thin military camisole from the pelvic region upwards and may be toting a gecko or two. This event is free of charge and will take place from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the Historic Merritt Lodge, 2332 Harrisson in Oakland, California, which may or may not be the arsehole of the universe, but one thing is certain: Art of this almost other-worldly nature could not be created within the confines of the civilized world. It is Art that pleads a kind of lost divine madness a its guiding inspiration. the center will make itself known to those who will be a part of it there and who will find their way there and those who are to be a part of it in another location will also respond to the gravitational pull of Love in evolution, embracing the death of the false, for the endless perpetuation of the real, via the mysterious process of change, which is the dance performed by that which is immortal in us …and is the perceptible part of the divine in demonstration of it. Oh, and if you attended this event on December 3 and found the Ballroom empty,
your magazine is free. Also if your name is Betty, Oliver and/or Das....

Winter Solstice/Full Moon Lunar Eclipse: Tuesday the 21st !

Tuesday December 21
For I say unto you: it would be easier for a honeypossum to sculpt a perfect likeness of Aleister Crowley out of marmalade and motor oil than it would be to escape the effects of an Eclipse. This Lunar Eclipse in the sign of the Twins signals the need to stop scattering efforts by eliminating unessential activities and ending fruitless conversations and unsatisfying studies. For I say unto you: it would be easier for a wolverine to assassinate the pope using a slingshot loaded with overcooked lima beans than it would be to escape the effects of an Eclipse Tense 90-degree squares from the Sun and Moon to expansive Jupiter and explosive Uranus might motivate impulsive behavior. Happily, a sweet 60-degree sextile with compassionate Neptune softens intemperance with tenderness that keeps us from going too far too fast. The Moon of this eclipse is in a degree (29 Gemini) where, if things go all hodgepodge, expect some sense of “cruelty” to be cited in the mix. This isn’t necessarily “real” cruelty though—it may just be an emotional reaction to change long overdue. (Some people really hate change!) The Moon of this Lunar Eclipse conjunct fixed star Betelgeuse (the easy way) at 28 Gemini is all about the (lunar) longing for the easy way out. And for many, seeing that the Moon also represents “home,” “family,” and “money” (particularly “business money”), this is where the eclipse(s) is(are) going to symbolically manifest—as upheavals in these arenas. Or even the clinging to them as the “certainty” which will “protect” you from change. It would be easier for a western screech owl to throw a javelin through the hole of a doughnut at a distance equivalent to the length of three
soccer fields than it would be to escape the effects of an Eclipse.
But wait—that’s not all! On the other side of the coin (Lunar Eclipses always have “flip sides”) the Sun is exactly conjunct Lachesis (duration). And Hybris (arrogance which comes to an ill end). And Kassandra (truth which isn’t believed) standing in opposition.

This could thus be very good or very bad news (or feelings) arising in your life—anything between “I don’t believe that!” to “I can’t believe it” to “I really HAVE to?” versus “They’re going to get away with that!” to the ever-popular “Why ME?”

For those with natal chart positions (planets, nodes, axis points) between 24 Gemini and 4 Cancer OR 24 Sagittarius and 4 Capricorn, this is personal. This Lunar Eclipse is right in your face.

For those with natal positions between 24 Pisces and 4 Aries (OR) 24 Virgo and 4 Libra, this is something or someone getting in your way, throwing a wrench into your works or something which alters your plans. You are going to have to deal with it. The thing to avoid is thinking it is all them or all you. It isn’t.

For those with natal positions between 27 Taurus and 1 Gemini (OR) 27 Cancer and 1 Leo, expect a bump in your road and a bruise to your ego. Try not to yelp too loud…and don’t hit back! Think logically, not emotionally. Be civil, not sarcastic!
For those with natal positions between 27 Scorpio and 1 Sagittarius, expect critiques. They may not make you happy, but to get where you need to go, you need to deal with it. Whether you know it/like it or not this is an opportunity to learn something useful and valuable, so grumble and get on with it!

For those with natal positions between 27 Capricorn and 1 Aquarius, the reactions/responses you want are not forthcoming. No, it’s not the end of the world. Do yourself a favor—check with your insides. Either you’re not risking enough, you’re not making the effort to be valuable/of value or you’re just plain in the wrong game. On this last—be careful. You may be tempted to pull out just because the going is getting tough. That won’t get you where you want to go either—this is not supposed to be easy!!!

For those with natal placements between 26 Aries and 2 Taurus (OR) 23 Leo and 2 Virgo, you have an opportunity to express yourself in some meaningful way. It’s not mandatory, but if you do speak, you will get heard, which isn’t always the case.
For those with natal placements between 24 Libra and 4 Scorpio (OR) 24 Aquarius and 4 Pisces, you’re in the flow and may as well ride the wave. On the Libra/Scorpio end you’re building something, on the Aquarius/Pisces side you’re finishing a personal cycle. Either way—accept, utilize where you can, enjoy!
Unlike Solar Eclipses, Lunar Eclipses tend to be “prompt”: the date for this event is December 21 (give or take time zones) so, give or take 24 hours, this is the moment. Like all things lunar, Lunar Eclipses are about emotions and things which evoke emotions. Unlike a Solar Eclipse, Lunar Eclipses crest at the eclipse and from there fade into a “gosh, that was some deal!” sort of thing within three months
At 3:33 p.m. The Sun enters Capricorn. This transit marks the Winter Solstice (Summer Solstice south of the equator) and a major turning point of the year. It's time to solidify long-term plans and get organized for the year ahead. The Sun in Capricorn brings a combination of ambition and patience that is tough to beat. Results may not come easily but consistent effort and intense commitment make it possible to set high goals and achieve them.

Forecast for the Lower Astral: DECEMBER 9, 10, and 11

Thursday December 9
Everyone laughed when I sent my dog Zero to the Canine Academy Of Design, but they won't be laughing today when he continues to shit all over their lawn. The Day of Jupiter in the kabbalistic World of Fire, Atziluth. Did you here the one about the astrologer who broke his arm and attributed it to an accident? The Moon in Aquarius makes a solo contact today. Its square to Venus suggests that we should wait until we feel clearer before taking on a relationship issue. If we need to launch it today, don’t expect it to be complete at this time. It will take another round to finish it. Aquarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 12 weeks to 28 weeks after Conception, when the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Aquarius represents the higher Self projecting itself to the world tribe, through media, groups, circles of friends (your Tribe) and utopian aims and idealistic pursuits alter the prevailing social systems. On the World scale, Aquarius occupies the period between AD 1840 and 1910. This was the time when the established dominance of the material world in Capricorn quickly required more sophisticated planning, spurred by Schopenhauer, ideas and beliefs from the east began flooding the West through such diverse channels as the Theosophical Society, the Golden Dawn, and the operas of Wagner. This was the time of Crowley, Nietzsce, and the early works of Freud. With the Moon in Aquarius we have the ability to combine East and West, Light and Dark, Sun and Moon. This is where we are compelled to reach out to others and network. If you’ve elected to forego swallowing the gravity pill, you can take part in the holographic cherub hunt – but mind you don’t bruise your fellow prisoners! At this point a viscous orange liquid (it doesn’t stain) will likely be pumped into the atmosherep, pint by pint, until it’s all gone. Take as many pictures as you like. Feel free to speak candidly to those in hibernation – it won’t disturb them. Try out the suction pads! And if you’re going to be sick or have to tinkle ... well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Friday December 10
The Day of Venus in Fireweek. If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. Mercury begins its 20-day retrograde period at 4:06 am. This happens as Venus is sextiling Mercury, making communications flow very well during the entire retrograde, but especially today. Even bad news will be delivered gently and bring a positive outcome. The eyes in that painting will seem to follow you around the room today, which is quite odd for a Jackson Pollock. The Moon continues in Aquarius, finding harmony with Saturn and the Sun to continue supporting our plans for a solid future.

Saturday December 11
There’s plenty of action today, as the Moon makes contact with Chiron and Neptune, then goes void at 3:09 am. Go ahead, sleep in! We don’t get clear energy for action until the Moon goes into sensitive Pisces at 10:40 am. Now we can become sensitive to what needs to happen—is already happening—in our lives and respond with courage to the call, as Moon sextiles the Node and three planets in Capricorn (Mars, Pluto, and Mercury). . . Well, Your Name, have you come this far to spread intricate sadness with all possible combinations of dour gesticulations and complex facial contortions? Didn't think so. Is there any way the Moon entering Pisces could please you without resorting to the obvious? By the time we come to Pisces, we've been and are everything. Identities and boundaries get very fuzzy at this stage, and they're supposed to. Moon in Pisces reminds us that we are on an infinite journey, ever leaving, ever returning. Where have we been? And who are we? We are a raindrop. We are the ocean. As warm jets, we are two fishes swimming in opposite directions, symbolizes the imperative to integrate two dimensions - the finite and the infinite. Neptune, which rules Pisces, was the mythic God of the Sea; he is associated with the swells of emotion and the vast mysteries of the collective unconscious. In the modern Western world, this is largely misunderstood territory. Chickadees have been known to fornicate with badgers here, for christsakes. The moon, she is in the sign of fishes. Sobbing and laughing from the fjord to the poorhouse, The beneficial effects of the Piscean hormone melatonin have been part of the health supplement scene for some time, for high melatonin production is known to be synonymous with a high immune system, a low cancer risk, long life, energy, stamina, and according to many, enhanced spiritual awareness. Perhaps it is fitting then that this hormone is secreted by the pineal gland, a mysterious little item long believed by mystics to be the "Seat of the Soul," "Me Third Eye," and the organ through which psychic powers are exercised. In fact, it actually functions as an organ of sight in some reptiles, and it still seems to possess some sensitivity to light in higher mammals, since melatonin production increases when the person is exposed to darkness (thus melatonin means "night worker!") High melatonin production thereby increases the facility for receiving and transmitting high-frequency cosmic and local broadcasts, and leads to a greater state of cosmic awareness - a state simply of ’knowing.’ In this regard, it is interesting to note that the Pineal Third Eye has been found to contain very fine granular particles, rather like the crystals in a wireless receiving set. Many magical rites and meditation techniques are aimed at gaining control of this organ and the fluid it produces: Veering at the mercy of decadent thighs, In billowing abandonment, A serpent dancing on the coy derrière, A baton in the bawdy dunes When the social life of Earth is harmonized, our planet will re-join the Metaverse of Passion & undergo vast transformations, affecting human form, weather, animals, & plants, even the oceans. Passion draws humanity into association just as gravity draws celestial bodies into orbital systems. Once just the flypaper scaffold of a vision - now a glorious reality..Once just sandgrains in a molecular hourglass - now miles of golden beaches. So I knelt there at the delta, at the alpha and the omega, at the cradle of the river and the seas. And a violet flame from heaven came for something like a second I was healed and my heart was at ease. .
