Tuesday and Wednesday in Yetzirah
TUESDAY APRIL 19
The Day of Mars in Airweek. Mars hasn't always been a god of War. More
powerfully cool to blast ejaculations of dragonbreath fireballs at the mainstream media charade, to shoot fireworks out the business ends of elf flamethrowers at the fleeing asses of slum lords and their hired thugs, and neo-conservative goons. Our failure or unwillingness to alter our ways, our inability or refusal to change the direction of this nation and the continued indifference or complicity to the plight of billions has unmasked us all Mercury retrograde backs into Mars—make sure you don’t do the same while driving today! This gives voice to our urge to act, a good thing since speaking it out gives us a chance to try it on before committing. Moon proceeds through Scorpio making a set of quincunxes to the Aries cluster of planets over the day to produce an overload of ambiguity. A time of confusion is not a time to act. A trine to Venus in late Pisces brings happy endings however, as this opens the Moon’s void period at 9:53 pm. We are activated once again when the Moon enters expansive Sagittarius at 11:50 pm. The man who invented aikido was a samurai who became a pacifist & refused to fight for Japanese imperialism. He became a hermit, lived on a mountain sitting under a tree.. One day a former fellow-samurai came to visit him & accused him of betrayal, cowardice, etc. The hermit said nothing, but kept on sitting--& the other fell into a rage, drew his sword, & struck. Spontaneously the unarmed master disarmed the samurai & returned his sword. Again & again the officer tried to kill, using every subtle kata in his repertoire--but out of his empty mind the hermit each time invented a new way to disarm him. The samurai of course became his first disciple. Later, they learned how to dodge bullets. We might contemplate some form of metadrama meant to capture a taste of this performance, which gave rise to a wholly new art, a totally non-violent way of fighting--war without murder, "the sword of life" rather than death
WEDNESDAY APRIL 20
The Day of Mercury in the week of Active Air. Mercury retrograde (till Saturday) means you should Avoid any doctrine or religious movement that advocates a shameful wickedness with the alphabet In the heart of darkness just past midnight, we’ll find out how much the goal posts have been moved on the inner plane when the Moon squares Neptune in its new sign and Chiron, absorbing insights and clearing obstacles from our dream state. At 3:19 am, the Sun enters dependable Taurus. The Sun’s entry into stabilizing Taurus today puts our feet on the ground, providing a solid foundation for addressing practical matters with patience and persistence. Greater awareness of our bodies opens the senses, enabling us to appreciate the richness of living on planet Earth. The Bull’s stubborn ways are less evident this year as its value-setting ruler Venus is just about to enter adventurous Aries. This combination represents potential conflict between risk taking and playing it safe but can also help us find the resources to fund new sources of fun. The rest of the day is a cascade of harmonies as the Sun and Moon make mellifluous contacts with Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, and Mercury. At 9:06 pm, Venus enters Aries to add a dose of derring-do to our style of loving, still bringing up the rear in the personal-planet brigade. She’s catching up with Mercury and Mars, but not until next month. It’s another day of exploration as Moon completes its stay in Sagittarius. Sagittarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between Conception and 7 weeks, the first Lunar month after the sperm reaches the egg, and is a compacted pattern at a molecular time scale of the entire life of the cellular body. The embryo develops in parallel with the earlier phases of evolution, retaining memory of these structures in the brain. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Sagittarius represents Initiation beyond the realms of Death (Scorpio). On the World scale, Sag occupies the period between AD 1500 and AD 1750, The Renaissance. This was the time when astrology, mathematics, musick and geometry were understood as divine techniques for communicating with the Soul of the World. With the Moon in Sagittarius we are into philosophical speculation, adventure, and foreign influences, and actions that expand the awareness through gathering unfamiliar experiences. At 9:05 p.m. Venus rush into Aries. The love planet’s presence in Aries stimulates hunger for new forms of fun. Old pleasures and partnerships require updating to maintain interest and excitement. Impetuous attractions fulfill the need for fresh experiences but aren’t ideal for long-term commitments. A feisty approach to others incites teasing and testing that weeds out weaklings and boring individuals very quickly. However, the development of new tastes and talents could lead to sources of joy, income and approval.
