Not only does the Moon augment the experience, its occurrence on the New Moon seeds this as part of a powerful process on this lunar cycle. It is decision time, a parting of the ways for some especially in relationship. With Mars hard on the conjunction to Uranus, fireworks may make the path clear to reluctant decisions. Although there is always sadness in parting, there is also relief in the underlying harmony that is allowed to emerge once the parting is complete.
