The Forecast is prepared and written in luminous tiles across your retinas. May it shine forth upon all who meet your gaze. The words grow here slick and filthy and unhindered by enterprise.
There are more planetary events this month than in many months previous to this, although how much you are affected by them depends on contacts to your own chart and how you work with them. A tantrum in a tantric tremendum breathes new life into a squalid marriage consecrated by the usual mundanities. As the planets fan out from their conjunctions with the slow movers (Jupiter, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) earlier in the year, we see the “fates” that we humans have created with the opening of their yearly solar cycle. With Saturn now in direct, late-Virgo motion, June’s underlying theme is effective productivity, particularly in areas which are meant to bear fruit in a long run, involving others and/or the greater world. I can have you now by magick or drudgery. What we do/how we go about doing it also ultimately works best when motives are about accomplishment rather than self pleasuring, but this doesn’t mean we can’t have fun. Nor do you have to be “conservative” or fuddy-duddy about your aim or approach—far from it! Chickadees will fornicate with badgers. The trees will be raked of lizards nightly. With Uranus having just moving into the “I Am” sign of Aries gives us a June during which things are on the move and energy, focus and attitudes are shifting and in the din of inequity, we practiced telepathic Sirian holography for the surly droves. This is the Dominion of Tricks, the Realm of the Pranksters. This is where you let me ... no – you won’t even let me do that here, will you.
Do new parameters mean we have to rethink? Maybe. Will some of us resist? Absolutely—count on it! Forget-me-nots may be renamed what-the-hell-are-these-things. But when we consider that not only has Uranus moved out of emotional, fantasy-oriented, inspirational Pisces into the do-or-die (or at least be really ticked off!) sign of Aries, with June also being a pre-(solar) eclipse month…? This is a double dose of status quos beginning to break down. So resistance isn’t likely to work. July’s eclipse highlighting twists and turns of destiny, we can all expect a few shake ups and shake outs. So we can change with the times or be changed by the times—that’s the option!Skyscrapers will be renamed cloudsnaggers.
But let’s focus on June…the first few days of which are likely to bring adjustments and the recognizing of things unfinished and things that just need dealing with. The more we try to avoid, the harder life comes at us about these things; while you may be able to run away, don’t be surprised if that brings about some sudden crunch of (apparent) “fate”, that languor which envelops but never quite annihilates. For those willing to work through what shows up, there may be interruptions, discomforts, annoyances (maybe even an upset or two) but this isn’t about negatives: its feedback. Life is trying to teach us where we need to be more “solid” with/in ourselves. Why? Because the more internally connective and self-responding we are, the more we will get out of things soon to come. Somehow it seems a bit fascist, doesn’t it, this period I’m describing. But you have to admit it’s rather curious we’ve gone to all this trouble to construct from scratch a time that is not entirely idyllic: you’d think we might’ve attempted something more paradisaical, wouldn’t you. Why bother with the Oil spill? Why the dankness? Why such perverse adventure, such amorphousness, and nothing remotely orgiastic? Well, it’s partly because of budgetary constraints, I confess, but it’s also because we want this time to be alien even to our own imaginings. There are a lot of elements I haven’t told you about, and several I’m unaware of myself: the time is not strictly tame – it is, beyond a certain degree of artificial cultivation, self-generating. I suggest we leave it alone for a while, then see what its wild intelligence has bred. So if these days are stressful, try to focus not just on immediate feelings—ask yourself why you’re so reactive. That answer will be important to your ability to achieve goals going forward. Then we can establish a rococo nerve lattice among the quarantined survivors of Operation: Rapture, then we can stamp down a huge and perfect Mandelbrot Set with our ding-a-lings in popular wheatfields, or even feed raspberries to carp. (I’ve just been informed when Carp are fed raspberries they throw them up, so cancel that last one. Thanks Lynn!)
Pluto continues to brings its culmination to us in the summer, and we experience that on June 25–27, when both the Sun and Mercury oppose Pluto. This is also the time of a Lunar Eclipse (June 26), with all these events affecting 5 degrees cardinal. This is sure to bring out situations that threaten to overwhelm us, whether it is news about the Gulf oil spill, events in Central Asia, or the Icelandic volcanic eruption drooling lava onto your new pillows.. All these situations really get my donkeys up onstage. Jupiter has been flying through Pisces, reaching toward Uranus like a dragon-faced hen bursting with tinsel and frayed at the wrong end, but by the time it reached the other side of the Pisces pool where Uranus was hanging out, Uranus had left to go to the Aries pool party next door. Finally, on June 5, Jupiter catches up to fan Uranus’s flames. The usual tendency is to take a cylindrical organic object – say, a weasel or a zucchini – and plunge it into the soft yielding folds. To be doing so is not unlike the doing of anything else entirely distinct from everything on earth. It will be interesting to observe the extent to which fire (metaphorically and literally) is in the collective experience, from a way to deal with the Gulf oil spill to a symbol of passion, inspiration, and inventiveness. With so many planets making significant sign changes, we are stepping into the realm of the new and unfamiliar. And here, if you watch closely, you will see the voice peer out in silence from between the lips of the sleeper. If you are comfortable with a loosely constructed, fluid life, you’ll enjoy these times more than if you prefer a secure, predictable routine. And now that I’m awake I see that it crumbles on a road outside a shop called Leather Heather (she leads the séance through a field of swaying purple flowers).
