JUNE 15th to JUNE 21st (Summer Solstice)
TUESDAY JUNE 15
As the Moon continues in Leo, it brings mental understanding and clear communications through a sextile to Mercury. This is a good day for making connections and agreements. This is augmented by Venus’s fire trine to Jupiter and Mars’s earth trine to Pluto. Fire and earth combine to create productivity and accomplishment. This can be expressed in all areas of life, but will be especially fruitful in relationships and business activities.
WEDNESDAY JUNE 16
The Day breaks with the Moon in Leo…the King: long live the, kill the,...etc. The Lion-serpent sun sign, the power of Will, the quest for authenticity. Leo represents the period of development when as children we begin primary school, which is the first detachment from the family structure, where we learn to make relationships and satisfy the need to be loved in the world. Games provide a way to relate to others and they teach us to at Scale, Leo is between 3,000 to 800 BC when both the Egyptian and Sumerian civilizations flourished, when religion became monotheistic, where one being represented or was, God on Earth. The Time of Pharaohs and Kings, Lion images proliferated in architecture and monuments, for the Lion is of course, King of Beasts. With so much happening in Leo we may be seeking romance with a flare for the dramatic. The electric Sun itself, Leo calls on each of you to shine your light, your singular essence. it is not a day for stumbling across lawns with a pitchfork in your back. Nevertheless, you may wish to take advantage of a claustrophilic Scorpio colleague's invitation to lunch. Today’s contacts are limited to two late-day lunar contacts. A sextile to the Sun allows us to build on what we seeded on the New Moon four days ago. Look for openings and invitations. At 8:24 pm the Moon goes into its void period as it opposes Neptune. This opens the door to imagination and spiritual insight. Let your consciousness roam unfettered by judgment to take best advantage of this energy. The Moon re-engages with life when it enters service-oriented Virgo at 10:41 pm. No one else has seen through your fingertips, felt through your eyes, lived in your skin. The Metaverse is very aware that many of you are very weary and discouraged with this mission. From your current perception, we know it looks pretty bleak down there. To watch world systems in decay, ambulatory insanity at the helm, denial on a rampage, humanity down each other’s throats, and a dying biosphere is probably not your idea of a good time. Try to remember that though you may be vastly outnumbered on this planet, you belong to a greater family that is by far in the majority of the remainder of the Metaverse. Align with your heritage, remember your birthright, and be certain of your destiny. You are children of the stars, sired by light, and your reality is the superior one. The damage and corruption you see around you is just the ending choreography of the old world’s last dance, and the promised reclamation of this planet is but the final manifestation of a campaign that has already been won.
THURSDAY JUNE 17
Just after midnight, the Moon reaches an opposition to Chiron, bringing up residual effects of our Mercury-Mars-Chiron experiences of last week. This could involve healing physical injuries or wounded emotions (more likely to be felt Wednesday evening)—be gentle with yourself. Overnight, our dreams carry symbols from our deepest unconscious realms as Moon trines Pluto and conjoins Mars. Pay attention to gain powerful insights. Throughout the day, the Moon moves into a square to Mercury: We may feel scattered if we try to push the river. If you are disorganized, take some time to clear things out mentally, emotionally, and physically. Plan for interruptions and for your activities to take longer than you think—it will be easier to feel the flow.
FRIDAY JUNE 18
Love is like a butterfly. Hold it too tight and you'll crush it. Hold it too loose and it'll end up fucking your best friend.
The waxing Moon reaches its First Quarter square to the Sun at 27°49′ Virgo/9:29 pm, the first contact of the day. This is very close to the time of a Sun-Saturn square, so this is the most powerful imprint on the coming week, with the Moon conjunct Saturn. We’ll be playing out the urge (and need) to work hard to accomplish long-term goals. We get a little relief from the dominant pattern of the past few months since Jupiter and Uranus have moved on to Aries, the cardinal “room” of the Zodiac, so there’s a separation of energies and consciousness to help us work on one thing at a time. We’ll be productive now but stressed out if we allow ourselves to feel driven by the prevailing sense of urgency. The Moon enters its void period at 10:04 pm, which lasts until 1:13 am tomorrow. In the chart cast for Washington DC, Mars and Mercury are angular and highlighted, suggesting the logistical support of foreign nations and organizations in dealing with the Gulf oil spill. There is good news in that it is a unifying event, but bad news in the environmental damage that is being done. President Obama is taking a firm leadership role in the process, changing course as he learns more about what is going on and what can/must be done to heal this wound to the planet. The Sabian Symbol for the First Quarter Moon at 28 Virgo is, “A bald-headed man in uniform completely dominates an assembly of men: diplomats, scientists, and industrialists.” [ME Jones version] This brings to mind the gathering of people that is required to resolve and heal the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and the unification that is occurring because of it. The single most important thing we must do as a species now is to be of one mind regarding the best way to heal Planet Earth of the wounds we have inflicted on her. In our personal lives, meetings with others will be of benefit.
SATURNSDAY JUNE 19
At 1:13 am, the Moon enters balancing Libra and engages Uranus and Jupiter to bring us startling insights, whether through dreaming or waking state. When the Moon reaches Pluto in mid-morning, we connect the dots on a large and inspirational task that stretches out into our future. Use your insights to inspire not frighten you. The Moon in the relationship sign of Libra increasing our awareness of others and our desire for peace and sharpens our social and diplomatic skills. However, the need to objectify emotions can limit spontaneity and cause us to lose our way in our attempts to please people. Libra represents the period from 23 to 42 years old, when partnerships are made and balance is sought between others and oneself. On the World scale Libra is between 400 and 1100 AD, when division of the church and state took over, and the Dark Ages swept over Europe and Asia. The opposition is symbolic of the fact that in order to emerge from the unconscious, internal conflicts must be brought out into the light of day. Marriage was the primary process through which opposing countries where integrated into a whole. With the Moon in Libra we are aware of our communal relations, law, justice and balance. The 7th house (Libra) has been called the house of marriage. The key to the New Aeon of MA'AT is figuring out the new symbol for Libra, as the institution of marriage was originally designed as a tool by the Church to secure it's future domination. Those that cannot find this new symbol and perform these symbolic rites on themselves and their tribe, and the whole fabric of material being, will inherit only the blues, decay, and husks. Think more in terms of partnership and remember, your heart must be light as a feather. Take this time to be good to your Libra ruled kidneys. These amazing organs filter some 400-500 hundred gallons of blood a day. Lemons, beets, cranberry juice and cabbage and leafy vegetables are all healing to your kidneys. The Sun’s square to Saturn finally signals a culmination in our work efforts as we complete tasks with a deadline of late July. A Moon sextile to Venus sweetens the day with the support and camaraderie of friends; the evening finishes on an peaceful and idealistic note as the Sun trines Neptune.
SUNDAY JUNE 20
The Moon finds nothing but harmony all day as it makes a harmonious hook-up with Mercury at midday. The Moon in Libra transmitts the mysteries of balanced relationships. We live in a culture that promotes certain pictures of romantic ideals that suggest completion through relationship. This has promoted the epidemic of co-dependent relationships that rarely last in a healthy over time. The most important relationship we will ever had is the one with ourself. Do we like who we are. The Moon in Libra asks of thee: "Who will set you free?" If you answered "I Will" then you have the opportunity today to shine some light into the very heart of your dream today.Your mind will be clear and focused, your head and heart in synchrony, with a desire to share a spirit of joy and playfulness with others.
MONDAY JUNE 21
The Moon makes its final contact in Libra when it trines Neptune at 2:45 am to vivify our dreams. The resulting void-of-course lasts until 5:14 am when the Moon enters mysterious Scorpio. Moon in Scorpio is an opportunity for stripping the comfortable half-truths from our lives, seeing them and ourselves as we really are. What keeps you from fulfilling the goals you set? What is your real desire in these matters? It matters less what your truth is than that you see it. If you’ve been half-heartedly working at reducing debt, losing weight, improving your relationships - whatever - the point Moon in Scorpio is not so much that you achieve the goal but that you fearlessly own the reasons you haven’t yet done so. Once your recognize them, you can move forward - or not - with strength since there is nothing to hide, no secrets to keep even from self. This requires courage, for society smiles on the courteous lies, the soothing stories we make up for ourselves. We may comfort ourselves with murmurs of “I’m doing the best I can...” but Scorpio’s clear vision is not fooled. Take another look at the plans you have for implementing the goals and beginnings you considered at the New Moon. Are there beliefs, fears, or conflicting goals to be addressed before you can successfully achieve the goals you desire? The dormitory of friable little girls puts the odious box right. Scorpio understands that true strength lies in seeing the truth. When there is nothing to hide, we have true freedom. Knowing what we truly want, believe, and fear gives us the understanding we need to make meaningful changes in our lives. By taking the time to do a little self-work, we can bring the success we desire into reality more quickly. Now that’s power! Before it rises At 4:30 am, the Sun enters Cancer, marking the Summer Solstice (“sun station”), the longest day, and the ceremony of Litha (among others). This is the time to bring our winter’s dreams into fruition. The Sun lights up all the other planets in cardinal signs—Uranus and Jupiter in Aries, and Pluto in Capricorn, with the electrifying square to Uranus occurring today. Our awakenings start now! The Scorpio Moon finds harmony with Chiron, the Sun, Pluto, and Mars to bring healing, effectiveness, and efficiency to our efforts. An evening square to Venus suggests that an evening alone is more appealing than social contact; it gives us time to integrate what we’re learning after a very active day.
