On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Sagittarius represents Initiation beyond the realms of Death (Scorpio). On the World scale, Sag occupies the period between AD 1500 and AD 1750, The Renaissance. This was the time when astrology, mathematics, musick and geometry were understood as divine techniques for communicating with the Soul of the World. With the Moon in Sagittarius we are into philosophical speculation, adventure, and foreign influences, and actions that expand the awareness through gathering unfamiliar experiences We can utilize the power of positive thought as long as ignoring the facts doesn’t lead to blind optimism. Luckily, we’re able to experience revolutionary breakthroughs in our thinking while mental Mercury cooperates with unorthodox Uranus. However, karmic Saturn is standing by, ready to issue an unpleasant reality check if needed. Moon in visionary Sagittarius takes the edge off the back-to-work grind. Mental Mercury in friendly Aquarius trines expansive Jupiter in loving Libra. Our minds open to see the pictures and words flow, inspire, and light a spark of connection. We may find special grace in meditating on tolerance, honing our language skills, studying or teaching, and reaching out to friends or a partner.
Today is a day to create beauty, and to find a way to share or market it. Contact the angels or other light beings, buy flowers for someone–how about for yourself?
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22
The Day of Mercury, the Messenger of the Gods, in the World/Week of Earth. The stones attributed to Mercury are Opals and his metal is of course, Quicksilver. Mercury's function is to communicate. To think. To know. To reason. Language is his playground. The Akasic Library is his home. And oh yes, Hermes is a Love god. He likes the sound of his own voice. Write a poem, a sonnet, or some erotica today and them transmit that information to at least one other person. I write these darn things every Wednesday. Address every cat you see today with the greeting ‘Good afternoon, Mr. Ravenscrofte’, even if the cat is female, and even if it isn’t the afternoon. Doff your hat if you’re wearing one; click your heels if you’re not. Today’s 2-2-2 is an angelic master number that sharpens our intuition and increases our chances of touching the masses with our energy and work. This can be accomplished from the privacy of our own office or home. This could be important, because Mars the warrior squares immovable Pluto, increasing physical and interpersonal risk factors. If you operate machines, take special care and avoid speeding at the wheel or potentially dangerous situations of any kind. As for the Moon, in Capricorn she is not exactly a wallflower, and her hard aspects to Uranus, Jupiter and Mars speak of endings—possibly sudden, aggressive, and/or violent. On a more positive note, Capricorn helps organize, and these aspects can help us set limits with ourselves and situations, close cycles and release situations whose time has come. Again, on our own, in a journal, from the comfort of our own space, we can center in forgiveness and save head-on confrontation for a less volatile day, or for that matter, month. There is a whole division of the Angelic Hierarchy assigned to the sephiroth Chesed (Jupiter) whose purpose is divine inspiration through laughter. And there is no vision more critical in the career of the adept than the Metaversal Joke. Did you here the one about the twin child, the male-female Holy Spirit of the Gnostic Mass, the living fruit of two sexual partners. The Book of Lies teaches that seed and child and parent are mystically one, and that the seed represents the innermost and highest expression of the parent. In the Star Sapphire, a ritual form of the IX, the invocation brings father, mother, son, and daughter (YHVH, above) into one point of mystic union, referred to as Ararita. This daughter-son, the living elixir, is made a sacrifice to the magical goal of the working. Note that it is not metaphorically alive, but literally alive, containing a great quantity of living cells. Thus, for the male magician, it is the sacrifice of "all that he is and all that he has" into the "Cup of Babalon", which is held by the Scarlet Woman of Babylon and in which the blood of the saints is said to be mingled. The inner incubation time is important and knowing when to intuitively act is a part of the process. Even projects already in motion may benefit from releasing attachments to specific pictures or outcomes and allowing for the possibility of even greater expression to unfold. Moon VOC in Capricorn makes for a relaxed morning, until it enters exciting Aquarius at 9:17 am (12:17 am ET). Mercury, also in intellectual Aquarius, sextiles constructive Saturn. This productive combination can be applied to teaching or tying up loose ends related to documents, plans and organization, and following through on pending promises. In the afterglow of yesterday’s square from Mars to Pluto, keep a low profile and a clear head.

If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. The Day of Venus, who gets oversimplified like a lot of her sisters, is one of the most complex planets going: she works as an attractive force and as a creative one. Intelligence is the greatest aphrodisiac, but a dab of extract from a civet's anal gland and a nice pair of shoes will work just as well today. Moon in Aquarius starts the weekend off on an adventuresome tone. In Aquarius, Moon brings us a blend of challenge and ingenuity to sort out the latest puzzles in our lives. With that being the case, let me speak of things Aquarian. Aquarius represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 12 weeks to 28 weeks after Conception, when the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Aquarius represents the higher Self projecting itself to the world tribe, through media, groups, circles of friends (your Tribe) and utopian aims and idealistic pursuits alter the prevailing social systems. On the World scale, Aquarius occupies the period between AD 1840 and 1910. This was the time when the established dominance of the material world in Capricorn quickly required more sophisticated planning, spurred by Schopenhauer, ideas and beliefs from the east began flooding the West through such diverse channels as the Theosophical Society, the Golden Dawn, and the operas of Wagner. This was the time of Crowley, Nietzsce, and the early works of Freud. With the Moon in Aquarius we have the ability to combine East and West, Light and Dark, Sun and Moon. This is where we are compelled to reach out to others and network. In the wake of Wednesday’s rough square, and in the light, and shadow of this month’s eclipses, we can create our own adventure by, for example, taking in a new kind of exhibit or helping others in a different way. Whether on a date, with friends or with your own, dear self, lunar sextiles to Venus and Mars keep the romance and fun alive. However, with Mars and Uranus in Aries, sign of struggles, avoid unnecessary sparring.

With Moon in brilliant Aquarius, on this day ruled by Saturnian number 3, we can refine our writing or activist work, or have lunch with stimulating friends. At 10:11, moon goes VOC, and we can enjoy a good read or an art film (and save key purchases and actions for another day). At 3:07 pm (6:07 ET), Mercury submerges our thinking in an intuitive mist as she enters the subtle sign of Pisces, where she is followed by the Moon at 4:24 (7:24). As the sensitive luminary joins the planet of thought, we enter dreamtime. We can harmonize by taking an easy afternoon, enjoying music or an uplifting film, visiting a psychic, practicing dream yoga, forgiveness, or metta, or mocking up a graphic scene of our dreams come true and writing it down for visualization reference.

Today, ruled by the Sun and charged with the power of Number 8, starts with a splash and ends with a bang.
At 6:58 am (9:58 ET), we get the second of this year’s four major lunations: A Solar Eclipse New Moon.
With warrior Mars applying a conjunction to rebel Uranus in I-dare-you Aries, this is not your typical, cocktail-in-the-Bahamas event that we might expect with the current Pisces line up. Even the Sabian symbol is unusually go-get-‘em for the twelfth sign of the zodiac:
THE RACE BEGINS. A JOCKEY SPURS HIS HORSE AT GREAT SPEEDS. The capacity to throw oneself into any type of activity. Self-quickening, premature expenditure of energy. Neptune is the lord of this Eclipse, and is also in conjunction. From a mundane perspective, compassion and popular unrest will be flowering. Jupiter, Pisces’s expansive and visionary co-ruler, is also strong. The large planet closely opposes feisty Mars, who happens to be joining revolutionary Uranus. Inspiration will be high, but naivete and enthusiasm could get detoured by impatience and rash acts that end up doing greater harm than good. Physically and socially, we’d be well served to keep a low profile and put all the face we can muster into visualizing excellent outcomes for ourselves and humanity. We can best direct today’s driving impulse in thinking through and retouching strategies for movement forward in a few days, when Mars the warrior has released the revolutionary within from its testosterone anxiety. Light a white, blue and/or silver candle. Mentally surround your space, country and planet with its light, and write down your intention for something you would love to start.
