July...Yes....July

on me to invite you to a thunderstorm which is scheduled to take place outside the Metaversal Lightcraft Headquarters every evening at dusk. You needn’t dress in any but the most perfunctory manner nor bring any crickets (there will be plenty of those!) Monkeys and Angels are set to grind corn with the Full Moon in Capricorn on July 1st. Tackle those long term projects and remember, the Mountain must be tackled one step at a time. The fun part is knowing that this nice little braid cascade of planetary wave donuts gets its pressure nested to fold all inside out through one slip knot to ... elsewhere because not only is the Full Moon in Capricorn giving us all the stable gravity of magnetism permitted by fractal symmetry to go BETWEEN frequencies in a cascade, but this magnetism is also actually the WIND ON WHICH LOVE TRAVELS. Most of July belongs to Cancer. When the Sun is brightest, Terrans like to go to the beach, the ocean, a river, a lake, or a pool, were they reconnect with Water, Womb of life on earth, while the Moon’s subtle pull makes the liquid element ebb and flow. The word “month” comes from the same root as Moon, and this month begins and ends with a Full Moon. We tend to think of the Moon as gentle. In Buddhist astrology, it’s associated with love and compassion. Reminding us that empathy and compliance are two different things, July’s lunations are not of the warm and cuddly variety. It’s a liquidation service for the soul. Upload everything you think you are onto the great Metaversal web and let the Cybervac Lightsucker clean away the dross and clutter of this virulent cultural undermind rampant with dubious sampled notions and half-digested leftover memetic visions. Only then will the dragonflies venture to mate on your scalp. Only then will the provisional gods you’ve held behind plexiglas step forth with new recipes for meringue soufflĂ©, and heaven knows what other wonders. Tear down the pyramids and let whales dine on the mummies of kings! Everything must go. The monkeys saw this coming and stayed in the trees, but now they descend to raze our mini-golf shrines and cut loose our pets from their leashes. Leave a note for them: There’s beer in the fridge, guns beneath the pillows, and twenty-four hours of hardcore oven-ready evangelism on the tube forever and ever while supplies last. P.S. Please remember to flush.
Stirring energies of change and power, they can help us take an honest look at what’s going on, and work to truly heal and move on. The month begins with the Full Moon of July 1 in Capricorn, not Libra, astride Pluto and in close opposition to Mars. The configuration will bring up something hidden, including our anger or desire to push things. Capricorn represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 7 weeks until 12 weeks after Conception, when the embryo becomes a fetus, and the sex and physical appearance are determined. The body takes form through it's skeletal system. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Metaversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Capricorn represents the integration and structuring of the higher perceptions of the Self in the World on a practical level. On the World scale, Capricorn occupies the period between AD 1750 and AD 1840. This was the time when the ideology of Sagittarius was translated into material form. Humanity evinced a superiority over the forces of nature, and the Industrial revolution began. Romanticism surrounded the likes of Shelley, Goethe, Byron, and Chopin, reacting to the cold prevailing mechanistic World view. Rudolph Steiner said that the human being is created, and destined to be, a self-defining creature. Are we slightly higher than monkeys or slightly lower than angels? Good old fashion hard work yields the answer. Monkeys and Angels are set to grind corn with the Full Moon in Capricorn. Tackle those long term projects and remember, the Mountain must be tackled one step at a time. The fun part is knowing that this nice little braid cascade of planetary wave donuts gets its pressure nested to fold all inside out through one slip knot to ... elsewhere because not only is the Moon in Capricorn giving us all the stable gravity of magnetism permitted by fractal symmetry to go BETWEEN frequencies in a cascade, but this magnetism is also actually the WIND ON WHICH LOVE TRAVELS. This rather bellicose pattern is offset by harmonies from Neptune, planet of compassion. The Sabian symbol resonates with this theme, right down to the boat and sea, both ruled by Neptune: On a small boat the seaman are feeding a tame albatross. Overcoming instinctive fears through gentle persuasion. Kindly, congruent culture of spiritual values. Harmlessness. Mars and Pluto are both associated with courage, and can help us penetrate our innermost patterns and face down the demons that prevent our intention to forgive from going deep (Deep). They can also help us break through inertia and subconscious resistance to change, fortifying us to extricate ourselves from confining situations. Venus, goddess of love, joins Jupiter, planet of expansion and universal good will, in the sign of Leo. Leo represents the period of when as children we begin primary school, which is the first detachment from the family structure, where we learn to make relationships and satisfy the need to be loved in the world. Games provide a way to relate to others and they teach us to accept and make rules, the basis for being able to structure our lives (from 7 to 13 years old). On the World Scale, Leo is between 3,000 to 800 BC when both the Egyptian and Sumerian civilizations flourished, when religion became monotheistic, where one being represented or was, God on Earth. During this Time of Pharaohs and Kings, Lion images proliferated in architecture and monuments, for the Lion is of course, King of Beasts. This combination of Venus and Jupiter in Leo activates our heart center, adding warmth to our spiritual practice. Thoughts and mantras of love will allow our acts of courage to flow with efficacy and beyond the reach of violent reactions. Also on July 1, Mercury is finally emerging from its nine-week retrograde and shadow period, flashing a green light on our communications, promotions and movements of any kind. It works well with the Full Moon portal to help us stop staring at the mountain and begin to climb it. The month’s beginning is a vortex of apparently disparate elements: humanitarian love, secrets purged, and resolute action—and these threads reach into the days ahead like laser strings unraveling from a ball of varicolored light-yarn. During the passage of the Sun through Cancer we are extraordinarily open to our inner selves, to our own depths, to our own connections with the Metaverse. The vulnerability of this state increases our need for security, and we find ourselves attending to those aspects of our lives which center in our own hearth—our inner child, our family, our domestic lives, our homes, our businesses—those things which relate to creating a stable base, those situations in which we find safety and comfort. The Sun entered the sign of Cancer at Summer Solstice. This is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. At that moment the days begin to shorten, the night force takes over, and we begin our six-month journey of gradually embracing the darkness, which climaxes at winter solstice on December 21.
Like the night to which she introduces us, the forces of Cancer are mysterious. They are ruled by the Moon, the Goddess of the Night, who brings her waxing and waning lanterns to guide us through the dark, through the murky unconscious, through the watery depths of feeling. In Gemini we made connections with every passing event, as we restlessly kept ourselves in motion, learning about the world, exploring. Now in Cancer it is time to center ourselves, to turn within and learn who we are and what we need, to nurture our inner child and create a safe home for it. The darkness of the subconscious is our real staging ground for life, and we must develop lines of support to anchor ourselves to its vastness, while at the same time maintaining fluid passageways for growth, for change, and for movement to new levels. In Aries, we brought the seed of spirit to earth, in Taurus we multiplied the seeds, in Gemini the air swept them up to disperse them, and now in Cancer each seed will find its proper spot in which to put down strong roots. It is most appropriate that we plant our gardens by the moon, which rules Cancer. The moon fluctuates within its monthly cycle, and also is connected with the daily fluctuations of tidal waters throughout the world. Underlying this fluctuation, which may seem capricious if we don’t pay attention to life’s rhythms, there are regular cycles and predictability. The energy of Cancer, similarly, is a fluctuating movement—going within to deep sources and then moving out to express those depths in the world, ever shifting as do the ocean currents. But like the moon Cancer has its inner predictability, and is accountable to its own rhythms.
Cancer rules containers of all kinds, including the womb, where young life is nourished, and the home, where families are nourished. It rules gestation, that vulnerable time when an embryo is being formed deep within layers of protection. Cancer is associated with bodies of fluid, such as lakes and amniotic sacs. It knows. It knows that water, which symbolizes emotions in astrology, is the essential matrix of life, and that feelings are tender and vulnerable and must be protected, just as the growing fetus must be protected. It knows intimately about growth, because it carries the growth process within itself. And growth, too, must be protected and attended to so that the fledgling is strong and healthy. A fine example of a Cancer sun person who arose from the depths of her own isolation, her own inner life, to forge new mental and emotional connections with the world was Helen Keller. She grew up blind, but came to light the way for the effective teaching of blind and deaf children, based on her personal experience. Nelson Mandela is another Cancerian who emerged from years of isolation to lead his people and his nation towards his vision of justice for all people. Ultimately, Cancer helps others to understand that we are all one family of advice columnists, one of whom I gave a 1972 Neo-Modernist elliptic-hyperboloid French
watertower of reinforced concrete with panoptic stained-glass lazuli windows, and all she wanted was a new dress. I’ll never know how to love her, but at least I have good taste in industrial architecture. The Pacific Ocean felt that every person counted equally, and the whole world mourn her death. All of these examples
show Cancer’s concern with the personal, with daily life, with individuals, as well as Cancer’s effective nurturing ability. Cancer’s special challenge is to draw from the Metaversal to express the personal, and through the gift of that unique self, to uplift others. In Cancer, practicality and compassion combine to
produce true helpfulness. The United States is a Cancer Sun country. We are an emotionally caring people to whom security, comfort, and self-defense are important. We’ve forgotten that nourishing the daily lives and growth of all our people is our purpose. We’ve forgotten that supporting the healthy development of all of our
children—in action not words—is the source of our nation’s strength. We’ve forgotten our links to Water—the source of our abundance. And we’ve forgotten that everything flows from Great Spirit. Yes, Cancer is deeply emotional. I sit here, trying to write, feeling our cruelty to one another, our raping of the earth, our disregard of spirit and fellowship, and I find tears streaming down my face. And I’m frustrated by my inarticulateness. What are you and who do you want? If you’re here to frighten us, congratulations: we’ve been screaming for hours. You make our hair crawl and our skin stand on end and even the cat is hyperventilating now. I’ll gladly slip into the worst horror dream in exchange for your departure. Meanwhile – as you exhibit no indication of heeding our reasonable request –
back to the screaming. Perhaps as a nation we have a screaming inarticulateness about our true purpose. This may be a reason for our TV and media gullibility— we are willing to let others “who know how” speak for us. Perhaps it is time to dig into our hearts and souls and learn to speak for ourselves, to renew our connections with Madame Quince-Dowrys and to create a world which truly nourishes each of us. Dr. Craque (the same fellow who, according to the papers, performed your last hysterectomy) told me that this would be good for calming my nerves – indeed the opposite, for I find myself in a neurasthenic frenzy just contemplating the notion that you and I might picnic together this very evening beneath those same bolts of lightning which are sure to set the Riddley barns aflame again. Have you any toothpaste? Be sure to screw the cap on tightly: I have an aunt (one of your mothers, I believe?) who died not long ago from leaving the cap unscrewed on a tube of Sterident. The poor woman left the world without a will, and we’ve been squabbling over her miniature teacups ever since. Please respond by flare (red yes, blue no) as soon as possible. I must close now as my wife (your squirrel-catcher in a past life, swears Sturluson the trance medium and elbow boxer) is leaving on her errands and I would like for her to deliver this letter, along with the rooster I borrowed, to your hallowed door.

With Fondest Regards to you and your lovely poodle (does she suffer yet?),
Your Dithering Suitor,

Johannes "Andromimicus" Ayres* Esq.
