EARTWEEK: MAY 6th to MAY 11th

WEDNESDAY MAY 5
The Moon in Aquarius amplifies the coming Venus-Mars sextile to support relationship communications and rapport. At 9:15 pm, the Moon reaches its Last Quarter square to the Sun, at 15°33′ Aquarius. This signals us to tie up loose ends, integrate our experiences into new wisdom, and prepare for the next lunar month. With Jupiter closing in on its conjunction to Uranus and opposition to Saturn, tension is building to liberate ourselves from outworn structures: what once supported us now feels confining. It’s time to break free (at least in the coming few months)! We feel more eager now, even impatient, to push aside obstructions. If this goads us into the courage we need to face the obstacles in our lives, we are using it successfully. The Sabian Symbol for 16 Aquarius is, “The active executive of a large corporation sits at his desk immersed in the details of some business project.” (ME Jones version) With Pluto on the Ascendant of the US chart, corporate actions are being felt this week, and they are coloring the image that the US has both domestically and internationally. This may have to do with banking and investment reform efforts and the intense lobbying that Wall Street firms are engaged in to block legislation. In our own lives, a big-picture perspective and industrious approach to our situations will be beneficial.

THURSDAY MAY 6
The Moon remains in Aquarius, feeding us insights as it reaches toward Neptune all day long, until 11:37 pm, when it enters its void-of-course period. Look within for images from the invisible realms, more clearly visible as the Moon traverses this uncluttered patch of sky. Make your great escape now........

FRIDAY MAY 7
At 2:37 am, the Moon enters Pisces, immediately conjoining Chiron to bring new healing energies to us. It also opens opportunity’s door, hooking up with Mercury and Pluto to form a minor grand trine. This links initiative with insight so we can squeeze a few more ounces of inner wisdom from Mercury before its retrograde ends. Use it to launch a new transmutation of outmoded thoughts. Relationships get a boost, as Venus finally reaches a sextile to Mars. It will benefit us, in ways at first not evident and more than we think possible, to connect with others today. Pisces represents, on the level of the first octave, the period between 28 weeks after Conception till Birth, when after the electrick nervous system of the fetus switches on (Aquarius), we become psychically tuned to the entity later to be known as Mother. On the level of the fourth octave (see Chapter 9 of the Meteversal Lightcraft Training Manual for more on the Four Octaves), Pisces represents the enlightened Self which must give itself totally to the whole, dissolving into the void, in order to achieve the final unity with the realm of pure spirit. On the World scale, Pisces occupies the period between 1910 and 1969. heralded by the founding of Psychoanalysis, when Mankind began exploring again the Unconscious strata of Life, and by Albert Einstein's (a Pisces) Theory of Relativity. This was the time of Jung, Joyce, Hesse, Huxley, Leary, Burroughs. We transcended the limits the illusion, Maya, the physical World of Assiah, extending inward with the electron microscope and outward with the high powered Telescope. The entire range of audible musical notes and the whole spectrum of visible colour, apprehended and understood. The dissolving power of mutable Water, Second coming of the Fish with the Double Wand of Power, Atom Bomb and LSD. With the Moon in Pisces we have a heightened sensitivity to Musick and the Dreamtime, and we feel the depths of pure compassion for the Metaverse and it's inhabitants. Let the subtlety of thought and expression, the depth of imagination, and the ability to think nonverbally inspire you to create beautiful art and music today. Next comes a little dish of ivory spittle from the mouth of a milksucking bat (it preys on lactating sloths and humans).

SATURDAY MAY 8
Moon continues in Pisces, but we may be too sensitive early in the day to want company. Wait until the afternoon, then a sextile to the Sun creates a more social atmosphere. Well, Your Name, have you come this far to spread intricate sadness with all possible combinations of dour gesticulations and complex facial contortions? Didn't think so. Is there any way the Moon in Pisces could please you without resorting to the obvious? By the time we come to Pisces, we've been and are everything. Identities and boundaries get very fuzzy at this stage, and they're supposed to. It also makes us more reflective about events of the past month. What did we learn? you won't see a cop or a raccoon; you can pee in full phantasmagoria under the stars in the night with the wind high and salty and the dome of the sky in full splay sprayed and contusioned upon the black upon the twisted wicked love of the cypress in decline.

SUNDAY MAY 9
The planets create activity and a little drama as we engage in Mother’s Day gatherings. Make reservations at your favorite restaurant. It will be inconveniently crowded—or wait until after 1:12 pm when the Moon goes void of course. The noise and crowds will die down. This is true even after 2:29 pm when Moon bursts into Aries like the bud of a flowering tree.. Aries is ruled by Mars the energizer, creating abundant energy to start new projects and elevate your excitement and enthusiasm levels. Experiment with new ideas and possibilities. The tempo is fast-paced; fly gracefully without bumping into too many people (walls?). since it makes no further contacts until early tomorrow morning.

MONDAY MAY 10
Just after midnight, the Moon (all full of piss and vinegar in Aries) squares Pluto to bring up more treasures from the depths of our consciousness. Observe your dreams; they are windows on your soul. With no further contacts but a trine to Mars before the end of the day, we’ll be blessed with lots of energy and an easy flow in using it.

TUESDAY MAY 11
The Day of Mars in the Earthweek. Mars, the action planet, is rather comfortable now in fiery Leo. The nature of Mars is to initiate, take risks and lead. These qualities are supported by Leo's role as a take-charge personality. This period, then, is one in which there is support for those who have the courage to let their hearts lead the way. A possible challenge at this time is that impulsive young Mars energy may take itself too seriously, posing as a mature Leo leader who has earned the throne. It's as if the prince acts like he's the king. Leo's royal confidence grows from experience that Mars often often lacks. Without the seasoning wisdom of time, he can come across as arrogant, or all sizzle and no steak. Even a prince has to pay his dues if he is to be a great ruler. Leo is an affixed sign one that doesn't change easily. Mars may lose some its spontaneity and operate in a more sluggish way than usual now. The essential issue is whether Leo will be in its open, creative and generous mode or its dominating and stubborn one. If Mars can keep it light and playful, the former will win; if it takes itself too seriously, the latter will. The greatest potential of this period, therefore, is for those who put play before conquest. ThE big sigh of Mental relief is Mercury’s station and return to forward motion…Moon enters Taurus at 11:48 p.m. What a Sweet feeling….Fertile ground for new growth….
