Our consciousness in this chakra is concerned with survival, with our fight or flight response, with our instincts. It links the individual with the physical world. Serves as the foundation to evolve and build personality. If we are to ignore this chakra, and concern ourselves with the higher levels, we will be growing without roots, we will be unstable, unable to withstand the trials that will come our way. If our survival needs are met, the Base Chakra will function healthily, but if there is a perceived threat to this, (such as a difficult house move, job change, health problems, etc.) it can create an imbalance. At 12:08 pm, the Moon enters Taurus, reactivating us in the most sensible of ways. Now we want to get the groundwork right, and with Saturn to goad us from the opposing sign of Scorpio, we have a strong incentive to follow our plan, or adjust it to fit our practical
concerns. We have to take the time to do it right. Today we see the possibilities, before tomorrow’s hook-up with Saturn. On a personal level, we will see some expected outcomes suppressed as unforeseen circumstances surface to be resolved, which we are now prepared to do. I have previously brought up the idea of the central pulse coming from the middle of Metaverse at the rate of 22/twenty-two trillion times a second. This pulse does not merely provide a synchronizing ‘beat’ for Metaverse. Such an understanding is severely lacking. Rather this pulse IS Metaverse in the very real sense of the pulse triggering creation. As with anything of this nature, either positive or negative,
it comes with it's own atmosphere. It's as if you were in a self contained bubble. The result of this, is that you are denied other perspectives of states you have rejected, in order to reside in states you have accepted. As you move up the ranks of the infernal hierarchy,
your awareness of the indwelling potency increases and this works the same in both hierarchies. So, Satan is with you every step of the way, advising, encouraging, suggesting and so forth. There is the promise of a cushy position in the realm of Hell, once one has departed from
this realm; shuffled off that mortal coil and so on and so forth. They fully believe this, even though Satan is called, 'the father of lies'. They buy into the idea of, “Better to rule in Hell than to serve in Heaven”. The thing is, as has been stated here many times, 'the devil works for God'. The Devil functions as instigator and District Attorney. What he really does, is gather evidence, all along the course of the existence of those who have delivered themselves into his service for personal gain. They do acquire these gains in the course of their
tenure. That goes with the territory. Satanists suffer from a form of terminal myopia. Everything really does look a certain way and... for the purpose of demon-stration, it is that way, until it As it happens, this pulse comes 22/twenty-two trillion times a second, and
every time it occurs, the universe that consciousness experiences as the ‘material world or universe’ creates itself. Part of the reason was the things going on in my heart and another part of the reason, was that God wouldn't have it any other way. Of special note and of extreme importance, is what Paramahansa Yogananda once said, “If you don't look for God in the springtime of your life, he won't be there in the winter”.
I remember that putting the fear of God into me when I read it. Then I recollected that I had indeed done that and I was good to go, or continue, as the case may be. It is a wonderful thing, to come across a quote by someone you highly admire and find that it applies to you.

If you actively invoke blessed HANIEL, the Archangel of Venus into your heart today, you may find you have developed the ability to feel like Khrisna, multiplying himself into a dozen pastoral, naked farmhands with muddy feet and emerald pond scum on their thighs, or maybe you are a young Freya on the back of a panther, eating honey. The Day of Venus, who gets oversimplified like a lot of her sisters, is one of the most complex planets going: she works as an attractive force and as a creative one. Many Kinds of Intelligence by Jeff Jawer

Examining the meaning of intelligence makes sense while mental Mercury is retrograde. This planet’s current reversal period (February 23-March 17) is a time of reflection and review but also an opportunity to shed some light on the subject of smarts. We tend to view this matter in terms of intellectual ability because that’s what we’re taught in school. The capacity to absorb data, analyze it and feed it back on demand as answers to test questions is still the primary way minds are measured. However, the planets remind us that there are many different kinds of intelligence. The Moon, for example, relates to emotions and the awareness that we bring to this often mysterious area. Feelings don’t easily fit into boxes where we can be tested on how wisely to we apply them. If we’re upset, calming down and regaining control of ourselves is regarded as responsible and reasonable. Yet there are times when the intensity of anger or weeping with despair is an honest reflection of an interior state. Is suppressing those feelings smarter than letting them flow? The answer changes according to the person, the circumstances and, most importantly, what we do with them.

Venus is social intelligence marked by how well we relate with people. Being sensitive to the values and desires of others can be useful in making them happy. However, if we are so committed to peace and harmony that we ignore our own needs, relationships will suffer. Venus is also signifies artistic or aesthetic intelligence that is reflected by good taste as well as the capacity to visualize new forms of expression.

Mars represents the physical intelligence that makes for great athletes. Coordination, strength and endurance fall under this planet’s domain. It’s also about knowing when to fight and how to fight effectively, which can play such a critical role in our personal and professional lives.

Jupiter is philosophical intelligence or the wisdom to see the big picture and our place in it. While Mercury is the master of facts, Jupiter provides a sense of meaning that puts data into perspective. Some Mercurial types may be stuffed with facts but lack a long-range point of view that shows how to apply them. On the other hand, there are Jupiterians who have a wonderful grasp of principles but lack the appreciation of details and processes required to put them into effect.

Saturn’s intelligence is about timing, order and responsibility. Understanding the right amount of structure or different ways to apply rules makes the difference between competent leadership and authoritative ineptitude. Patience is a gift of this planet yet it can also appear as paralysis when we lack the commitment and persistence symbolized by Saturn.

The outer planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto guide us through transformational experiences. They represent well-managed madness when we use them smartly or chaos, delusion and destruction when we do not.

Perhaps the most essential kind of intelligence is that represented by the Sun. This planet of will, ego, identity and consciousness is rooted in the heart. It perpetuates physical life and encourages self-esteem. This love for oneself, though, is not helpful when it encourages indulgence in limiting or unhealthy ideas about who we are. Standing up for oneself is generally a good idea but not when it’s to support neurotic and self-destructive behavior. Solar intelligence is about recognizing when we are stuck in the past while claiming that we’re just being true to ourselves. Standing up for old patterns is only smart when they are still dynamic enough to give birth to new discoveries and fulfilling our potential. Bridging the gap between who we think we are and who we are capable of becoming is part of the Sun’s role. Discerning the difference between self-discovery and self justification is a key to its effectiveness.

Today is the hottest day of this week’s lunar hot spot, as Moon in Libra connects with Uranus and Pluto, the once and future movers and shakers. Peaks of intensity will come at around 4:00 and 11:00 am PT (7 and 2: 00 pm ET). We can immediately apply our new awareness in constructive ways, as we ride the gentle cascades of a series of planetary harmonies as Venus and Mercury retrograde trade places in zodiacal order: Venus sextiles Pluto and trines Saturn, then Mercury conjoins Venus before trining Saturn. The Moon augments the experience with a focused, determined approach. Mercury’s contacts today tie today’s events with those of February 8–12.

There is a whole division of the Angelic Hierarchy assigned to the sephiroth Chesed (Jupiter) whose purpose is divine inspiration through laughter. And there is no vision more critical in the career of the adept than the Metaversal Joke. Did you here the one about the twin child, the male-female Holy Spirit of the Gnostic Mass, the living fruit of two sexual partners. The Book of Lies teaches that seed and child and parent are mystically one, and that the seed represents the innermost and highest expression of the parent. In the Star Sapphire, a ritual form of the IX, the invocation brings father, mother, son, and daughter (YHVH, above) into one point of mystic union, referred to as Ararita. This daughter-son, the living elixir, is made a sacrifice to the magical goal of the working. Note that it is not metaphorically alive, but literally alive, containing a great quantity of living cells. Thus, for the male magician, it is the sacrifice of "all that he is and all that he has" into the "Cup of Babalon", which is held by the Scarlet Woman of Babylon and in which the blood of the saints is said to be mingled. We can’t escape the wound, so we might as well work it through, and Mercury retrograde conjoining Chiron for the second of three times gives
us easy access to our pain. What happens today ties into events around February 10. A Moon square to Saturn brings forward our self-doubt
afterward, so don’t let it get to you. The Moon goes void of course at 2:08 pm (5:08 pm ET) until tomorrow evening. We are in the final phase
before the New Moon, the Balsamic, or Wishing, Moon. This is a time when we naturally go inward for contemplation that seeds the new cycle.

Virgo represents the period from 13 to 23 years old, when mental growth dominates our lives and many attend institutes of higher learning. Many binding choices are made and the rules and details of society are learned. On the World scale Virgo is between 800 BC and AD 400, when classical civilizations like Greece and Rome flourished, when culture, science, philosophy, politics dominated. The Day of Mars in Active Airweek. Since Air is active, this is the stage where you actually get down and actively work that planet. Marsday means workout day for me, so I do 5 intensive workouts over the course of the day. Our communications are super-charged as Mercury Rx conjoins Mars (the 2nd of 3), tying in with events on February 8 and May 7. We feel like it’s time to do something—but what? With the Moon in opposition, we will get the feeling behind the urgency. We don’t have to wait until May to take action, but smaller steps may be called for as a larger scenario continues to unfold. The Day of Mercury in the week of Active Air. Mercury's function in Yetzirah is to actively communicate. To think. To know. To reason. Mercury teaches (by demonstration), the animation of Eidolons, the magick indwelling of icons by Spirit. Avoid any doctrine or religious movement that advocates a shameful wickedness with the alphabet. A new cycle of healing commences as Sun conjoins Chiron at 9°22′ Pisces. This healing process will work on all levels of consciousness and come from our highest Self as it unfolds over the coming year. At 5:02 am (8:02 am ET), the Moon enters Libra to reactivate the transformative process we are experiencing with Uranus and Pluto. Today we get the awakening energies of Uranus, often coming in the form of sudden changes in circumstances. A trine to Jupiter makes it work for us as we find benefits in our shifting realities.
