I must have really been tired, because since it happened I am sleeping at 12 hour stretches AND taking naps and I’m starving, even though I’ve been eating. I mention this for a reason. I think all of us are receiving downloads of new and not seen before, energy and intelligence, what with Mars now retrograde in Virtgo. Those of us working for positive change in the world and in ourselves are getting things directly related to this. I can’t even begin to list some of the things that have been happening to me, because they are so far out. For those of us working for increased negative change in the world and in ourselves, we also are getting amplification juice to that end. We’re all getting juiced in respect of what we are up to.

We spend most of the day in the dark of the Moon, still in Capricorn prior to the New Moon. We get one more shot at important communications that will permit us to move forward, even though by now we may see that forward motion is not the best choice. Earthly constraints like deadlines and misunderstandings may make communication necessary, even though the timing is not ideal. Once again, the long view is important. The Moon goes void of course at 5:38 pm, bringing in fresh energy once it enters Aquarius at 6:53 pm. This triggers the freshness of the New Moon, which comes at 11:39 pm. This cycle is marked by Mars’s retrograde, which starts tomorrow, and a square to Jupiter, which challenges us to weed our garden of fruitful activity so that we are not engaged in projects or situations that don’t give us the support we need. The chart cast for the US, set in Washington DC, suggests that legislative issues affecting workers are near resolution. The winter weather has stabilized, making the north a playground for those enjoying winter sports. Domestic employment is up, although it is not a panacea for all economic woes. At 4:54 pm/23°06' Virgo, Mars commences its three-month retrograde period. It returns to forward motion on April 13/3°41' Virgo. In between, we have the opportunity to rework and learn from new circumstances and to rectify mistakes if needed. Virgo is about service, health/healing, and forgiveness. Its tendencies of weakness are toward self-criticism or self-punishment, stress, overwork, and giving up. A trine to Mercury helps us talk our way through whatever arises in the coming three months. Verbal communication is a wonderful support in bridging the gap between ourselves and others, and it will be easier than usual to harmonize words/intentions and actions during this retrograde. Monday January 16
We’re all going down the rabbit-hole. And that’s an order. At 1:08 am PT/25°38' Libra, the Moon makes its Last Quarter square to Sun in Capricorn. The overall tone of this lunar event is challenging, as we discover what needs reinforcing or eliminating in order to prepare the way for the next lunar cycle. Venus conjoins Chiron to sweeten the deal, bringing a gentle flow of divine reassurance that all is well. All things end in harmony as Moon moves energy into the Saturn trine to Neptune, no matter what it looks like in the moment on the surface. At 7:29 am, the Moon goes into its void period, reactivating us as it enters Scorpio at 8:33 am In the US, the emphasis is on legislative gridlock and presidential directives. The President may take matters into his own hands with executive orders to keep the national process moving in a forward direction. The people are inclined to look at things on a deeper level, and the #occupy movement continues to flourish. Sun squares Saturn today, bringing to the fore the lessons we will be working with during Saturn’s retrograde period, which starts February 7. This continues in the theme of learning through deep connections to others; with Saturn in Libra, our relationships must deepen or die. We see signs of which way some continuing relationships are headed as the square occurs. Even cloistered nuns must know what I'm talking about. Both understand the value of getting a job done with dispatch. This period, then, can help us find out where to cut the fat in our work habits, so that tasks are handled quickly, making time for the development of new skills. Taken to its extreme, however, this focus on results can manifest as ruthless detachment and a lack of concern for the human side of the equation. Supremely solitary in that heath of scrub. The Light-Specific state initiates itself with SOLITUDE, the gratifying element of being alone (if only for 20 minutes a day)... without which, true development is impossible. The point is to connect to your inner source of stability, the state of potentia, the No-Form, at least once a day. No-Form is not a goal or state of "spiritual arrival" (as some religions would have us believe), it is a highly practical, multi-purpose tool for dissolving our identification with the ego. If you want to play with us, this is the only rule. The foundation of our Lightcraft is built in Chaos, so you must maintain a firm foundation, or Chaos your life will be. Some of us need this connection four times a day (sunrise, true noon, sunset, true midnight). Some of us actually manage to do it four times a day. It is a choice you must make. With it being Waterweek, honor Saturn today by creating greater stability in the Metaverse, actively expressing or experiencing your security needs, and cleansing and strengthening your base Chakra. Our consciousness in this chakra is concerned with survival, with our fight or flight response, with our instincts. It links the individual with the physical world. Serves as the foundation to evolve and build personality. If we are to ignore this chakra, and concern ourselves with the higher levels, we will be growing without roots, we will be unstable, unable to withstand the trials that will come our way. If our survival needs are met, the Base Chakra will function healthily, but if there is a perceived threat to this, (such as a difficult house move, job change, health problems, etc.) it can create an imbalance. Other Saturnian imbalances can show themselves in various ways, from sleeplessness and the inability to relax, to obsession with money, possessions or health. Both Mercury and Moon activate the planets at the end of their signs: Saturn, Neptune, and each other, culminating in Gemini Moon’s opposition to Mercury at 11:52 am to open the Moon’s void period. This fosters a major retrospective for us, not just of our experiences since the November 23 Mercury Retrograde station and the November 24 Solar Eclipse, but of our experiences since 1998 when Neptune entered Aquarius (which it is about to leave). The lunar orb being receptive and reflective, focuses the qualities of the signs and other planets to our personal Lightcraft. The Lunar center, and its intimate connection with the Holographic Image Projection System, is not only the foundation for the astral plane, but is the fiery aspect of astral energy itself. It cannot be weaned prematurely or circumcised without sedation lest it become traumatized and even more crestfallen. Enterprise meets obstacle today, but that doesn’t mean we can’t break through as we respond to the inspirations we have had on the Full Moon. The Moon leaves Cancer at 8:35 pm, going void of course at 6:25 pm, but those two hours can be used while the Moon inhabits its domicile sign. Once in Leo, it taps into more fiery energy when it squares Jupiter and trines Uranus to juice up our creativity and sets the light-specific stage, which indeed all the world is. January is about contexts set at other times. Let the Post-Apocalyptic Renaissance commence! Whatever calls you from outside the curtain can wait. You’re here now, and ready at last to open your eyes. When you do, you’ll see that Time is a soft jagged wave moving through you. And Space is a malleable domain sculpted by perception. It’s a transitional month, when things will come together for some as appropriate to their choices and charts, but the planets in the sky do not independently support new major events. Rather they allow completions for things started, perhaps submerged and surprising, in 2011. Rest assured: the voluptuous terror you feel swiftly gives way to splendour. Suddenly you’re more awake than you’ve been since retiring from the womb. January carries the energies forward that are incomplete and allows completions as the cycles of Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune, and Uranus move toward completion of their own yearly cyclic interaction with the Sun that structures life on Planet Earth. There is still energy as yet unspent through us by these planets, especially Jupiter and Uranus. Did you here the one about the twin child, the male-female Holy Spirit of the Gnostic Mass, the living fruit of two sexual partners. The Book of Lies teaches that seed and child and parent are mystically one, and that the seed represents the innermost and highest expression of the parent. In the Star Sapphire, a ritual form of the IX, the invocation brings father, mother, son, and daughter (YHVH, above) into one point of mystic union, referred to as Ararita. This daughter-son, the living elixir, is made a sacrifice to the magical goal of the working. Note that it is not metaphorically alive, but literally alive, containing a great quantity of living cells. Thus, for the male magician, it is the sacrifice of "all that he is and all that he has" into the "Cup of Babalon", which is held by the Scarlet Woman of Babylon and in which the blood of the saints is said to be mingled. The inner incubation time is important and knowing when to intuitively act is a part of the process. Even projects already in motion may benefit from releasing attachments to specific pictures or outcomes and allowing for the possibility of even greater expression to unfold. Saturn and Pluto are at the start of their new cycles, inviting us to place form and intent on their as-yet-underdeveloped potential. Rare these days, all the planets are direct—in forward motion. We may not know what to do with this energy, falling over ourselves as we try to jump ahead. As the Uranus square to Pluto moves into formation, we feel deeper forces at work, and yet we see the future beginning to shape itself, a backbone upon which we can build the skeleton of our new life. We will continue to transform, but we see a glimmer of light ahead.. If we always play it safe, we miss out on the fruits of the retrogrades that we encounter (from each planet except the luminaries—Sun and Moon). If we are willing to take the risk, we can set up a wonderful experience of expansion that will serve us for the next two years of our initiative, the next 12 years of our growth, and the next 15 years of our transformative process. This comes to us by grace of Mars’s trine to Jupiter and Pluto, which because of its retrograde will be with us for six months instead of the usual one week for such a contact if it occurs without a retrograde to repeat and sustain it. You ripen at will and I like it. This is marvelous for growing our garden of wealth for the future. Occurring in Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), it brings the right combination of change and opportunity to foster enterprise. Out of the ashes, our phoenix will rise. The Trans-corporate Monopolies are working around the clock to uphold the brutal vision of misery, the current temporal quotient of suffering, despondency, and total abject dread. The least you can do is be magnificent. Mars will lead us onto fertile ground for growth. We will need to work through the usual ego trappings: impatience, anger, frustration, false realities—to the extent that they exist in our consciousness. Ultimately you get two staircases out of it, but initially there’s just the fog ... And you are the one who has been pumped full of ghosts. Their feigned tincture. Every hourdaze coming through the pipe, like a suntarnished egg tumbling from its chute into the ignorant and diffidently gluttonous pond below. The city, on the other hand, grows soft and porous within the storm. If we commit ourselves to clearing ego masks, we heal the blocks that they create in our path.
